"Actually, you don't have to set an appointment. You already actually met the owner of that restaurant," Roland suddenly said, pointing to himself in the process.
His ownership of the restaurant has never been a secret. If anyone asked, he would mostly answer honestly. Of course, it doesn't mean that he will be announcing it to the whole world either.
And although Dean Castro had other motives upon trying to 'save' him from Councilor Brown, it was still a fact that he had indeed saved Roland this time around. Telling him honestly that he was the person that he wanted to meet was the least that Roland could do.
However, telling it honestly doesn't mean that the other party would believe it.
When he pointed at himself, Dean Castro just laughed and stated, "Alright, alright. There's time for jokes and serious conversation. I know your situation very well. I am the one who granted you and many others the scholarship after all."
"However, I like your ambitions. One can only achieve high if they have the dream of achieving higher. Alright, that's all for now. You don't have to worry about Councilor Brown trying to use the school to deal with you for now. As for you, you just do what you can about the appointment with your boss. If you have the schedule, inform me immediately alright? If you can't, then so be it."
Roland went silent after hearing that.
He wanted to explain further, but it was apparent that Dean Castro would only treat it as his joke.
Hearing that it was Dean Castro himself who granted him the scholarship, then it was just right that he would not believe that Roland was really the owner of the Sparkling Buds.
Anyways, he will find out sooner or later so Roland did not insist about it any further.
He stood up and bid farewell to Dean Castro. The latter said that if he could schedule him and his friend a date for meeting the 'boss', he could just directly contact him if he were in trouble in school.
This was just one of the good things that one will experience when they 'have' the connections.
Closing the door of the office, Roland turned and noticed that Madison was actually still outside, seemingly waiting for him.
She was pacing back and forth, her nervousness was apparent as she did not even notice that Roland had already walked out of the office.
"Hey," Roland waved his hands to get her attention.
"Ahh-" Madison was startled by his 'sudden' entrance.
Upon seeing that it was Roland, she immediately walked towards him and asked, "How did it go? Are you truly in trouble?"
Roland patted her shoulder and chuckled, "There's no need to worry about it anymore. Everything's fine."
"Really? That's a relief," Madison said with a deep sigh of relief.
Roland smiled at her as they made their way to their room.
As usual, the room was noisy and chaotic the moment they entered. Teacher Theodore was not back yet so their classmates were just conversing with each other.
Most of their topic, of course, revolves around Bryan and the other's situation as well as the incident that happened yesterday.
Roland did not mind them talking about it as he sat on his designated chair.
Madison on the other hand was quite concerned so she told the class to lower their voices and that they should not talk about what happened yesterday as it was already dealt with and that Roland has already been called to the Dean's office because of it.
Upon hearing that, all of them went silent for a few moments before they burst out for another burst of conversation. This time, their main topic was still Roland, but they were now wondering what kind of punishment Roland got for his behavior the last day.
Seeing that they still did not stop, Madison was just about to call them out when Roland waved his hand to stop her.
"Don't bother about it," he said.
In the end, Madison could only agree reluctantly as she sat back to her seat as well.
As their classmates converse, Roland also decided to listen closely to what they were saying, trying to grasp some information.
And apparently, Anna and the others, except for Bryan and Kyle, were already discharged from the Brown's Hospital. And apparently, the reason was not because they were already healed, but due to the fact that they don't have the capability to pay for their bills in the hospital.
The Brown Hospital was a private hospital that sports some of the famous doctors around the city. It was only normal for it to be expensive.
Although Fore City College was the top college in Fore City, not all of the students there were actually considered rich-rich like Bryan and Kyle. Most of the student's parents have small businesses or have some decent work and only a handful of them were truly rich.
lightsΝοvεl ƈοm Though, if they wanted to, any of Bryan's friends could probably pay for the hospital bill, it was just that maybe their parents were unwilling because of how expensive it was.
In their opinion, it was better to let their child be transferred to another cheaper hospital, or better yet, just stay home to recuperate to save money.
After the class chattered for a few more minutes, Teacher Thedore finally arrived.
As he arrived, he immediately started the class discussion.
As he discussed, Roland could not help but notice the change of attitude of this teacher of theirs.
Previously, Teacher Theodore was quite enthusiastic towards the class, though he may appear lazy. He would always answer their questions, and he would do so amiably.
However, today was different. Everyone could feel the cold shoulder from the way he discussed things. None of them dared to ask any questions aside from those in the first row. Teacher Ted answered, but not as amiable as before. It was as if something was weighing him down and felt as if he was not with the class.
On the other hand, the others might not have noticed it but Roland was able to observe that Teacher Theodore has been glancing at him secretly from time to time.
Roland could not help but frown seeing his attitude.
