Evolution From the Big Tree

Chapter 610: The Third Spiritual Energy Tide

“A giant Tree rising from the Moon’s surface!?” Amidst voices filled with disbelief, the staff workers hurried over.

Moments later, as they looked at the clear images projected, everyone stood dumbfounded as they caught sight of a sapling growing slowly amidst the hazy moonlight.

In just one night, it had surpassed the lifespan of countless ancient Trees.

In the blink of an eye, it towered into the sky.

Upon closer inspection, everyone could even see that this three hundred meters tall Tree was draped in silver, with crystal-like strands entwined around its branches. Its countless Tree branches criss-crossed outlined an esoteric and mysterious pattern.

For a moment, even the staff members couldn’t help but feel dazed.

“Hmm!?” Suddenly, a cry of astonishment escaped an old professor, who then adjusted his glasses and examined the image before speaking in shock, “That is no ordinary Sweet Osmanthus Tree…”

“Sweet Osmanthus Tree!?” Turning their heads in confusion, the staff members looked at the professor with perplexion.

At this moment, after pondering for a while, the professor exhaled a long, deep breath before explaining, “This should not be an ordinary Sweet Osmanthus Tree. Look, it’s shrouded in haze, with Moonlight shining faintly. Moreover, its branches intertwined in a natural manner, creating a rhythm… This reminds me of that Tree Monster. Right, that Tree Monster. It should be another Tree Monster that has awakened sentience.”

However, just as the professor’s voice fell, another staff member suddenly stepped forward and reminded, “A Sweet Osmanthus growing on the Moon is not a good omen. You see, in ancient legends, there was a Sweet Osmanthus Tree rooted on the [oon.”

“Uh…”

Momentarily stunned, the entire staff suddenly sunk into silence. Even those from the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Organizations were familiar with some well-known legends.

In the legends, there was an Eternal Tree on the Moon, and a guy named Wu Gang kept chopping at it day and night, tirelessly, yet never managed to cut down this Divine Tree.

That Divine Tree would grow back every time it was chopped. It was the Immortal Sweet Osmanthus.

Now, a sentient Sweet Osmanthus was sprouting on the Moon. What did this signify?

As they exchanged glances, one staff member couldn’t help but cry out in incredulity, “Don’t tell me ancient legends are about to come true…”…

At this moment, unbeknownst to anyone, the anomaly had only just begun.

By the shores of the Eastern Seas, there was a murder of Crows reigning supreme… known to the world as the ‘Blood Crows.’

Just at the advent of the Era of Transcendence, the Chinese Government had sent troops to suppress them. Unfortunately, the number of Blood Crows seemed endless. Even after using all their firepower, they were only able to reduce their numbers by 70-80%, while the rest fled and scattered.

After the Second Spiritual Tide, the Blood Crow Clan returned even stronger than before, and now they were the true overlords of the Eastern Sea.

If one were to look at the cliffs of the Eastern Sea, they would certainly see pairs of crimson eyes glowing like flames in the dark crevices.

These were the Blood Crows, the topmost aerial Clan. Even the most elite Mutant Birds would find it difficult to compete with them in a true sense.

The ferocity of the Blood Crows could be understood from the fact that wherever they went, the land was left barren, with not even grass growing.

Moreover, compared to ordinary Mutant Birds, they were even more sinister and terrifying.

*Cawww… Cawww…* Just then, sharp and unpleasant hoarse caws, filled with wild excitement and agitation emanated from the dark crevices.

If someone were there at that moment, they would surely be unable to help but gasp in astonishment.

Because, deep within the crevices of this cliff, there were faint nine-colored halos flickering.

Spiritual Energy Tide and this, was the harbinger of the onset of the Third Spiritual Energy Tide.

Or one could say, an early permeation.

The Third Spiritual Energy Tide was like a torrent from the depths of the universe, crashing towards the entire cosmos. As such, the arrival of some occasional early waves was also within reason.

Now, within the depths of the Eastern Sea’s cliffs, a portion of space had already been torn apart by the crashing nine-colored torrent. And through this opening, the entire Blood Crow Clan was enveloped in the colorful light first.

*Cawww… Cawww…*

One ecstatic cry after another echoed as the entire Blood Crow Clan began to revel.

What was even more terrifying was that amidst the permeation of the nine-colored Spiritual Energy, these Blood Crows began to undergo some abnormal changes that were beyond ordinary.

For example, their auras seemed to merge subtly. And their grating screeches became even more organized.

However, these screeches became more terrifying and horrifying. A horrifying pressure seemed to even fill the sky.

Vaguely, a Crimson Moon emerged amidst the haze.

That was an omen, a very frightening one.

At least, at this moment, by the shores of the Eastern Sea, as the Humans in the nearby cities gazed at the Crimson Moon phenomena in the sky, a chill ran down their spines.

At this moment, not only on the shores of the Eastern Sea, but also in another corner of the continent…

*Screech…*

In a very excited and high-pitched cry, a jet-black bird with three plumes trailing behind it like a Phoenix suddenly circled in the air, then swiftly dashed towards the depths of the clouds.

She was beautiful. The black star-like specks coming out of her three plumes, every time they swayed, even just a little, creating a sparkling and mesmerizing trail that slowly disappeared into the distance, only added to her beauty and elegance.

This was the Demonic Phoenix, the most mysterious Mutant Bird on the continent, possessing the power of foresight.

Years ago, she had already glimpsed the arrival of the Third Spiritual Energy Tide.

Using her foresight abilities, she found a place where the spatial barriers were weakest and stayed there for three years.

And then, she waited and waited…Until today…

*Crack…* With a crisp shattering sound, space suddenly shattered in the depths of the clouds like a mirror.  At the same time, a thin, colorful mist began to seep out from the shattered space.

*Screech…*

Amidst the colorful mist, the Demonic Phoenix let out an extremely excited cry as she folded her wings, bringing them over to her chest, with her plumes slightly swaying, creating streams of starlight.

Like this, she began her final transformation.

It was not only a transformation in strength, but also a transformation in bloodline.

She finally welcomed the summon from her ancient bloodline.

Compared to the accidental encounters and quests of these individual Mutant Beasts and even Humans, there was one place that resorted to extremely violent means.

“Shatter for me,” with a thunderous roar, the entire Misty Mountains trembled.

Immediately after, countless Mutant Beasts, much to their horror, witnessed a root so long that it seemed to connect Heaven and Earth, breaking through the ground and ruthlessly whipping toward the sky.

It whipped so hard that the gale it created rocked even Tier-3 Mutant Beasts off their feet, albeit just a little.

The Spiritual Energy surging from it even made countless Mutant Beasts feel suffocated.

Now, under such a fearsome strike, the entire shook violently with a deafening snap before the sky, like a mirror, shattered.

Adding more to the dread, this shattering wasn’t just limited to a hundred meters, or even a thousand meters, rather it spanned for thousands of kilometers.

At the same time, countless Mutant Beasts suddenly saw a sea in the shattered space, crashing towards them.

*Splash, splash…*

It looked like roaring waves, but they happened to be quite colorful, dying even the sky in multitudes of color.
