Evolution From the Big Tree

Chapter 328: The Arrival of Flame Princess

Against the backdrop of a dark, intricately patterned illusory python coiling around, Zhao Jiao stood with a cold demeanor. The corner of his lips curled upward, etching a faint, cruel smile.

“Kill him!” At his cold directive, the illusionary Black Python behind him seemed to respond.

*Hisss, hisss…* Fierce hisses echoed through the air. Simultaneously, its massive body instantly hurtled towards Bull Demon, as if it was light as a feather.

*Boom!* With a thunderous boom, its terrifying figure transformed into black smoke, only to coalesce right before Bull Demon.

The creature’s appearance was both grotesque and fearsome.

At the sight of its lifelike and horrifying figure, even Bull Demon’s pupils could not help but shrink.

Tightening his grip on the giant axe instinctively, Bull Demon swung it with force, creating a violent gale that wildly swept to both sides. Yet, what left Bull Demon bewildered was that the illusionary Black Python split into two under the swing of his giant axe, transforming into two smaller Black Pythons that bit towards him.

*Snap, snap…*

Immediately after, with two consecutive claps, the mouths of the illusionary Black Pythons clamped down on Bull Demon’s arms.

Afterward, Bull Demon felt an overwhelming force assailing him.

With a thunderous crash, his entire body was thrown away, crashing through countless trees.

*Bam, bam, bam…”

“What in the world!?” A voice of disbelief filled the air as Bull Demon’s pupils fiercely contracted.

But the next moment, a mixture of shock and surprise blanketed Bull Demon’s face as he witnessed the two illusionary Black Pythons merging back into one, reverting back into its original humongous form, once again hurtling towards him.

“What on earth is this thing?” In astonishment, Bull Demon mobilized his Spiritual Energy.

*Boom…* Accompanied by a resounding boom, the ground shook as a purple-black halo emanated from him, spreading outward.

Yet, facing Bull Demon’s formidable ultimate move, the Gravity Field, the illusionary Black Python appeared unfazed, and launched a relentless counterattack.

Adding to the dread, the illusionary Black Python revealed two massive fangs, each nearly half a meter long.

Furthermore, a deep purple hue entwined around them, exuding an air of terror and coldness.

Subtly, a chill gripped Bull Demon’s heart.

In the moment Bull Demon gripped the giant axe, preparing for a direct confrontation, a cold voice suddenly echoed in his mind.

“Retreat.”

Hearing this familiar voice, Bull Demon swiftly retreated without a moment of hesitation, creating a distance of several dozen meters.

In the next moment…

*Sizzle…*

The illusionary Black Python’s fangs came into contact with a giant tree.

Immediately, Bull Demon’s pupils fiercely contracted at the sight of the giant tree melting into a puddle of purple gooey liquid in the blink of an eye.

“Uh…” Shock and lingering fear was clearly apparent in Bull Demon’s eyes, which was really a rare sight.

[Thank goodness! Fortunately, I didn’t confront it head-on right away; that would have been too terrifying. Almost fatal!]

Just at that moment, a cold voice resounded in Bull Demon’s mind again, “Old Second, this guy’s Darkness Serpent is a fusion of psychic power and the Darkness Element. It’s not something to be touched lightly. If your body came in contact with it, just a moment of negligence would lead to serious injuries.”

Listening to the familiar voice, Bull Demon heaved a long, deep breath of relief and expressed his gratitude, “Elder Sister, thanks. Without you, I would have been in big trouble this time.”

“No problem, it’s only natural. However, be cautious dealing with this guy. His methods are quite terrifying. If you get an opportunity, try to engage him in close combat. Although he is abnormal, his hand-to-hand combat skills are not that strong. His so-called ultimate moves are all tied to his Darkness Serpent.”

Upon hearing this, Bull Demon’s eyes flickered slightly as the corner of his lips rose into a smirk.

Obviously, he now knew how to tackle this.

However, just at that moment, as if noticing something, the distant Zhao Jiao suddenly narrowed his eyes, looking in a direction.

After a moment, a figure with flame-like hair entered his sight.

She was dressed in black muslin. At a glance, she appeared both graceful and luxurious.  Between her eyebrows, there was a touch of indescribable charm.

Surprisingly, she was surrounded by Fire Butterflies, fluttering around her.

“Flame…Princess…” muttering in a rare serious tone, Zhao Jiao’s face darkened.

Evidently, the appearance of Ling Er was not good news for him.

But why would it not be?

Anyone who had been publicly slapped by a woman would bear a grudge, especially someone as proud as Zhao Jiao.

Just then, glancing at Zhao Jiao, a smile bloomed on Ling Er’s face as she waved her hand and greeted before encouraging, “Good luck.”

With that, she kicked the ground and transformed into a streak of light, heading toward the depths of the Deadwood Wetlands.

“You…” Zhao Jiao’s face drastically changed, looking in the direction Ling Er was heading.

[If she gets her hands on the Spirit Flower, I’ll never be able to hold my head up again.] Thinking this, he also kicked the ground.

With a thunderous boom, he turned into a cannonball, chasing after Ling Er.

However, before he could fly too far…

*Boom!* Accompanied by a terrifying roar, a robust figure, resembling a devil, swiftly approached him.

Following that…

With a deafening roar, the giant axe cut through the air, creating up a fearsome gust of wind.

Seeing this, Zhao Jiao had no choice but to pull back.

After a moment, looking at Bull Demon blocking his path, Zhao Jiao’s expression turned grim as he angrily rebuked, “Are you an idiot? Didn’t you see that woman?”

Amidst his questions, dark shadows converged on him, taking the shape of a terrifying black illusory Black Python, coiling around Zhao Jiao.

“Hmph!” Coldly snorting, Bull Demon responded disdainfully, “You injured me, and now you want to escape? You’re underestimating me too much.”

Saying this, Bull Demon also shot a glance in the direction Ling Er had disappeared and proclaimed in a cold and frigid voice, “After I kill you, she won’t escape either.”

“Idiot!” Zhao Jiao did not say anything else, just this one simple word conveyed Zhao Jiao’s current state of fury.

While he was confident in himself, he also knew that the humanoid Mutant Beast before him was not weak either.

If they continued battling, he reckoned that he would not be able to defeat it within half an hour.

By then, not to mention Spirit Flower, he might not even need to venture deep into the Deadwood Wetlands.

As these thoughts flashed in Zhao Jiao’s mind, his face grew even more gloomy as a subtle sense of urgency emerged, though not easily noticeable.
