Chapter 380 - You Are That Man? (2)

What?

Why was Feng Tianyi's name on top of the paper along with her twins? Tang Moyu couldn't understand. She wasn't expecting to see a paternity test result between him and her children.

Her eyes slowly scanned and read the content of the paternity test result that was in her trembling hands. Her brain short circuited for a moment when reaching the end.

The result was 99.99% blood relations between Feng Tianyi and her little buns. How was this even possible? Feng Tianyi was the same man she spent the night with five years ago and the biological father of her twins?

This… Tang Moyu didn't know what to think anymore. She was too shocked to say anything at that moment. She remained seated on the bed, her complexion white as chalk. Her eyes and her mouth were wide open in an expression of stunned surprise. Although she was staring down at the paper in her hand, she appeared not to understand what was written on it.

"Moyu…"

Feng Tianyi had already expected that Tang Moyu would react like this, but every second she remained silent, his c.h.e.s.t painfully tightened as he waited for her to say something.

No words left Tang Moyu. She could only stare at Feng Tianyi's obsidian eye as her heart fell silent.

"Moyu, please. Say something." She heard Feng Tianyi say in despair, but she couldn't move her lips. As if she was struck and tossed beneath the deep waters, Tang Moyu found herself having a hard time breathing as the truth refused to sink in her mind.

Her mind was blank and her eyes wide as she stared at him in shock. Feng Tianyi's eyes desperately searched hers, waiting. She searched her mind for something reasonable to say, but her heart beat her into it as she uttered her question.

"You… you are that man?" She blurted out, her eyes trying to see if there was a hint of deception in his eyes, but there was none.

"Yes." Feng Tianyi said, not breaking his gaze from her, letting Tang Moyu see if he was telling the truth or not.

Tang Moyu shot up to her feet and walked around the room, biting her thumb as her mind finally caught up with what she'd read and what Feng Tianyi confessed. How was she supposed to react to this?

What happened to her five years ago had ruined her life and she'd lost everything that she had. And for Feng Tianyi to say and claim that he was that man… the man who took her innocence, fathering her twins?

Tears brimmed to her eyes as the memories of her painful past came back to her, all at once. The betrayal, the humiliation, her family turning their backs on her after she begged for help. All of these didn't make sense to her anymore.

Why must she suffer for her to have her little buns in her life? They were the only good thing that came out from that event years ago. Tang Moyu wished that she had conceived them under a different circ.u.mstances, and not because she was drugged by someone, sending her to another man's bed.

Who would have thought that that other man was none other than Feng Tianyi, her ex-fiance's brother? Tang Moyu didn't know what to think or to believe anymore. This was too much for her to take in.

"S-since when did you know?" She asked, her whole body shaking from the revelation. She needed to calm down but it was easier said than done.

"Recently. Not too long, Moyu. I wasn't sure if my suspicions were correct." Feng Tianyi admitted.

"Suspicions?" Tang Moyu stopped and looked at him like he'd grown another head over shoulder. "Since when…" She paused as she remembered something. "Their blood type."

There was no other logical reason that Tang Moyu could think of except for this. Ever since she confessed about it to Feng Tianyi, she had noticed the sudden change in his attitude, especially towards her little buns.

"Yes." Feng Tianyi nodded. "Moyu, do you know? The golden blood you were talking about runs through the Song family bloodline. This is why the Song family is very particular about the marriage arrangement of each of their family members. We needed to run blood tests whenever a child was born into the family." He tried to explain.

"So when I told you about Baobao and Little Star having it, you suspected they are yours?" The empress could easily follow what Feng Tianyi meant.

"En, because five years ago, aside from Fengyan, I was the only one with a golden blood that was here in Shenzhen." He swallowed the lump on his throat, his palms started to feel sweaty. "Five years ago, I slept with a woman in my drunken state. I don't know who she is nor do I remember what she looked like."

It wasn't easy for him to come clean alright. Not when he knew that he was putting his relationship with Tang Moyu on the line and he wasn't sure how the truth would affect them. He knew how her life got messed up five years ago when she got pregnant while still being betrothed to his younger brother.

"Moyu, I'm really sorry. I'm so sorry I messed up everything! But please know that I didn't mean for it to happen. I never want you to get hurt because of me. I'm sorry."

Tang Moyu knew that it wasn't technically his fault. He couldn't have known who she was or knew what had happened after they spent the night together. Feng Tianyi might have not predicted that the two of them would meet again and would fall in love with each other.

She couldn't stop the tears rolling down her cheeks and Feng Tianyi hated that he'd caused all of this. Whether it was intentional or not, she still ended up being hurt because of him.

"I don't know, Tianyi…. I can't…"
