Even if I'm a Fake Heiress, I Will Dare to Be Trashy

Chapter 121: Prison Chapter (Memories) 10: Help If You Can

Chapter 121

Since that day Shen Yue and Prison Guard No. 14 went to Building 3, she had never left her room again.

Every meal was randomly selected by the prison guards. She was not a picky eater. After finishing her meals, she would stare out the window in a daze, constantly taking out the few memories she had with Shen Hui to look over.

She had nothing to do now, only to wait.

After being rejected three times by Shen Yue to eat together, Ma Sha stopped asking if she wanted to go out together.

However, Ma Sha would still occasionally bring milk tea to Shen Yue. Every time, Ma Sha would drink a cup first before pouring one for Shen Yue.

Shen Yue would always finish the milk tea.

In her daily life of staring blankly, the milk tea brought by Ma Sha was the only different part.

It continued like this for about a month. One night, Ma Sha knocked on Shen Yue’s door.

Shen Yue was not yet asleep at this time. Hearing the knock, she went and opened the door.

After knocking, Ma Sha actually regretted it already. Between her and her cellmate, they were not yet at the point of being able to trust each other. Rather than rely on Shen Yue to save her, it would be better to get the people from Building 2 to come over now.

Hearing the sound of footsteps not far away, Ma Sha's eyes narrowed, preparing to give up asking Shen Yue for help.

Just as she turned around, the sound of the door opening suddenly came from behind.

Shen Yue stood expressionlessly at the door, half her body hidden in the darkness. Weak light spilled in from the window behind Shen Yue, as if only that corner had color.

Ma Sha reacted quickly. After Shen Yue opened the door, she immediately made her request, "Someone's trying to kill me, can I come in?"

Without thinking too much, Shen Yue directly pulled Ma Sha into the room and locked the door.

Shen Yue casually turned on the light. The sudden brightness made Ma Sha unable to help covering her eyes.

Noticing Ma Sha's actions, Shen Yue pressed her earpiece and started harassing Prison Guard No. 14.

"Hello, what can I do for you?"

"Someone's trying to kill me, come over and kill him."

Unusually, there was no immediate response from the earpiece. After a moment of silence, for the first time Prison Guard No. 14 gave Shen Yue a response other than agreement, "Ms. Shen Yue, if I make a move, the events related to you this time will be relayed in real time to people outside."

Shen Yue's expression did not change at all. She oh-ed and continued, "I have no one outside, come over now."

Prison Guard No. 14: ......

"Alright, I will arrive within 5 minutes."

Shen Yue also asked, "You arrived within 2 minutes last time."

There was another moment of silence on the other end. "I need time to prepare sufficient weapons."

Shen Yue nodded. Realizing Prison Guard No. 14 couldn't see, she then said, "I understand."

After cutting off the communication, Shen Yue then noticed Ma Sha's arms and legs were injured, but fortunately simple bandages had been applied so the bleeding was not serious.

Shen Yue did not show more interest in Ma Sha's injuries. She just told Ma Sha, "Prison Guard No. 14 said he'll arrive in 5 minutes. You can wait for him to resolve the people outside before going back."

Ma Sha was stunned for a moment before realizing that her cellmate had actually saved her.

This was the most inconceivable thing for Ma Sha this year.

But after thinking about it, it didn't seem so inconceivable after all.

Ma Sha lowered her head and smiled. "You saved me. I owe you my life. Whatever you want, I can give it to you."

Without thinking too much, Shen Yue blurted out, "Make me milk tea every day."

This was currently the only thing Shen Yue still somewhat liked. She didn't want anything else.

Ma Sha was stunned again and uncertainly asked again, "Just this? You don't need anything more?"

Shen Yue asked back, "What other things can you give me?"

Ma Sha was stumped by the question. This was the first time she had seen someone discuss a transaction about her life so casually.

She felt like they were not discussing how much her life was worth in compensation, but rather discussing what to eat tomorrow morning.

She felt that she had probably misunderstood Shen Yue. Habitual probing sometimes doesn't get truthful answers.

"I can give you anything that I'm able to." This time when Ma Sha said this, she had some sincerity.

However, Shen Yue still didn't care and stuck to her previous answer, "Then make me milk tea every day."

Sitting on the floor, Ma Sha waved her injured hand. "Can I wait until my hand heals before making it for you?"

Shen Yue was easy to talk to and nodded. "Okay."

With that said, silence filled the room again. Shen Yue lay back down on the bed, ignoring Ma Sha and burrowing back into her blanket.

Seeing Shen Yue so casually reveal her back to Ma Sha, Ma Sha suddenly felt a sense of powerlessness and couldn't help speaking up, "Don't casually expose your back to others here."

Shen Yue still had her back facing Ma Sha. Her voice was flat as she answered, "I don't have the talent for fighting. Even if I don't expose my back, if there was an assassination attempt I still wouldn't win."

Hearing this, Ma Sha automatically translated Shen Yue's meaning in her head: since she was bound to die anyway, she didn't care.

She didn't care enough about her own life at all, completely different from the cautious child on the first day.

Ma Sha couldn't help asking, "Don't you have someone waiting for you outside?"

Ma Sha knew about Shen Yue going to Building 3 on the second day. After that day, Shen Yue had changed.

In Ma Sha's eyes, Shen Yue on the first day was still a child who wanted to live, and had more of a goal.

If a person changed in just one day, she must have received news that was greatly hurtful to her.

After Ma Sha asked this question, the room sunk into lengthy silence. After about a minute, Shen Yue answered in a very small voice, "No one's waiting for me now."

Ma Sha suddenly felt something poke at her heart. As she looked at Shen Yue's back, she felt like today was the first time she truly understood her cellmate.

Ma Sha didn't continue the topic, only saying, "I didn't expect at first that you would open the door for me. Thank you."

Shen Yue flipped over and continued speaking tonelessly, "Didn't you also let people from the first floor up to use the toilet?"

Ma Sha couldn't fathom how the two matters could be talked about in relation to each other. She discovered that she completely couldn't keep up with Shen Yue's train of thought. "How can those two be the same?"

"The people from Building 1 have it hard too. If you can help, then help, isn't that what you said?"
