CHAPTER 391

With the news of Liu Xueyi's real identity circulating all around, everyone found it careful to tread on the toes of the Liu's. All except one lady, found it daring to start a battle with them.

"It is time for you to make an entrance," a young lady's voice rang out from the washroom.

"Hmm." The reply following the other lady eased off slowly.

"What? Are you having second guesses now?"

"No."

"Then what is the matter?"

She moved her hand from the bed, placing it gently on her knees as her eyelashes slightly fluttered while in deep thought.

"Zheng Ying," the other lady's voice called out sharply.

"I can hear you. You do not have to be so loud."

She rose from the bed, straightened her light blue off-the-shoulder gown and strode off to the mirror.

Her hands picked up the hair bush on the mirror's dresser and pressed it against her big wavy locks.

Taking her time, she fixed up her bra-length black hair, fixing it with pins at one side and letting the length of her hair fall free on her chest from the left side.

The sound of the running water from the bathroom stopped and soon after the door opened, the lady whose voice had been disturbing Zheng Ying's peace finally stepped out.

"What took you so long?" Zheng Ying questioned while applying a touch of red lipstick.

"I'm not the one leaving to see a certain someone. You are." A flicker flashed in her eyes, as she gave off a bewitching smile before moving over to Zheng Ying.

"Tell me, what troubles you. You aren't as chatty as before."

"The me you knew of old has changed. This time, I'm a grown woman." She smacked her lips as an added touch, mimicking the smile on her benefactor's face.

"I know and I can see all of your figures haven't disappeared either even with the situation going on."

"What can I say? I had my life going on for me, even though it wasn't the best."

"What troubles you?"

"It is simple. I saw the news lately and I understand what is going on. Wouldn't he suspect my timing?"

"There's no shame in being a woman using her charms, need and care to win a man over."

Zheng Ying dropped her lipstick on the dresser and fixed up her belongings before turning to face the lady who brought it all up.

"Think about your son. You can use this to afford the life that you always wanted and also snag the spot of Mrs. Liu. Why waste this opportunity when this has always been what you have been waiting for?"

She gave her words a little thought and nodded. Taking one long look at her, Zheng Ying's smile broadened. "I must say Ms. Gao, you really have a way with words. Sure. I would use this to my advantage."

"As I said, there's no harm in being a desperate woman in need of her man's help. Now go and show Ms. Kai who rules his heart."

"Definitely. I may have gone, doesn't mean all traces have been gone. I once tamed him. I can do so again."

Her eyes glinted. Adding to her raised brow, she looked like a menacing beauty, worthy of the praises of men.

~Kai's Residence~

After being yelled out by her patron, Fang Mei was sceptical about how she moved and what she did. To him, she failed woefully but in reality, she had done her best.

Who would have thought Andromeda would be such a case she could not solve?

Walking into the house with her bag and phone in one hand, Fang Mei's eyes scanned the surroundings first, observing the nature of things before calling out to a maid.

The heavy sound of music reverberated in the entire Kai mansion, accompanied by the occasional laughter of some girls in the thrill of the moment.

Her brows furrowed deeply. She did not like the sound of what she was hearing. Slowly she brought her left hand bearing her wristwatch up and glanced at the time.

"2:15 pm. Too early for such a nonsensical act."

The second she dropped her hand, the young lady whose name had been called hurried over to meet her and greeted her.

"Welcome Madam."

"Hmm. Why is everywhere a bit rowdy and noisy?" Fang Mei inquired.

"The Young Miss returned with a few friends and they are having a celebration at the pool," the maid informed her.

"Thank you."

Handing her bag to the maid, she made her way to the kitchen, out the door and round the bark to the pool area.

For the first time since she moved in, she saw her daughter behave carelessly, rolling her waists while straddling a brown-haired boy who relaxed lazily on the sunlounger by the swimming pool deck.

Her lips fell open at the sight. Slowly she peeled her gaze from her eager daughter and scanned around. They were no more than five of them, two boys and three girls.

Her daughter seemed to be the leader, having fun with one of the guys leaving the other two girls to play with the last guy in the pool.

Fang Mei exhaled sharply and crossed her hands in front of her chest. Having taken in more than enough evidence with her eyes, she decided to call an abrupt stop to their stupidity.

"Fang Daiyu!"

Her voice had been so loud, timing the downplay of the current song towards its end to pull their attention before the next jamming beat resounded.

Petrified, Fang Daiyu's tensed up on the boy she was straddling as he too sprang into a sitting position.

Together, all five of them snapped their head in the direction of the voice and the second their gaze landed on the Madam of the house; their eyes went round.

"Switch that off now and meet me in my room this instant!"

She jolted up from his lap and scurried off to turn off the music.

Just as Fang Mei was about to leave, she snapped her head back towards the others, her eyes brimming with rage as her drawn brows furrowed deeply.

"Do not let me return and meet your sorry useless asses on my property. Get the hell out of my house!"

Everyone flew out from wherever they were and began to pack their clothes. "Oh, take your trash with you. I need this place spotless without a trace of what you have done. You have twenty minutes."
