The building was very rare in the north, let alone in a mountainous village in a comparatively remote city. It also was fairly delicate.
“It must be designed by a master,” Song Ruiping said.
“Go ahead. Let’s go in to have a look,” Su Xiaoxue said.
Though there was some green in the yard, it was still bleak. But, the delicacy still could be seen.
“The layout is rather unique,” Su Xiaoxue said.
“Hello, Lady Song. Hello, Miss Su.” Wang Yao greeted them with a smile.
“Hello, Dr. Wang,” Song Ruiping said.
“Hello, Sir,” Su Xiaoxue said.
“Come in and have a seat. It is cold outside,” Wang Yao said.
The air-conditioner was turned on. It was warm in the room. The minimal furnishings could be considered simple and crude compared with the beauty of the building and delicacy of the yard’s layout.
“Please have some tea,” Wang Yao said. The tea gave off a strong fragrance.
“This time, I visited suddenly without telling you,” Song Ruiping said. “Please forgive me, Dr. Wang.”
“No worries,” Wang Yao said. “I had promised that I would pay a visit as soon as possible when I left Jing last time, but I was tied up by some household matters.”
He looked at Su Xiaoxue and smiled. “Miss Su, you look good.”
He then started his diagnosis. Her face was ruddy, and the her eyes were spiritual. Additionally, her breath was balanced with strong energy.
He could smell the light fragrance from her body. It was like the orchid in an empty valley. It could said that her body had no problems expect for being unable to do activity on the ground.
“Sir, you can call me Xiaoxue,” Su Xiaoxue said with a smile. She didn’t know why she was so happy when seeing this man, who had thoroughly changed her life.
“Dr. Wang, could you please give her a check again?” Song Ruiping asked.
Wang Yao carefully checked her over. It was the same diagnosis as before.
“You are covering well,” Wang Yao said. “Now, the only problem she has is the unrecovered movement ability and poor coordination. Except for that, she is very healthy.”
Xu Xiaoxue was indeed very healthy except for not being able to move normally. She was healthier than most common people. Her recovery was like a butterfly that came out from the cocoon or rejuvenation of dead wood. It could be seen as compensation from the sky to reward her for never giving up after experiencing so much torment.
“Really?” Song Ruiping had heard the condition from Chen Lao in Jing. Now hearing it from Wang Yao again, whom she trusted it more, she felt more surprised. She could thoroughly take her mind off her biggest worry.
“Thanks, Dr. Wang,” Su Xiaoxue said.
“You’ve flattered me. It is god that has blessed Xiaoxue,” Wang Yao replied.
It was the god unwilling to see the cute, beautiful, and tough girl put up with the torment any more. So, the god arranged for Wang Yao to treat her.
She would recover soon. There was refined neixi left in her body, which was an unexpected surprise. She could gain countless benefits from it in the future.
“Then, sorry to have disturbed you,” Song Ruiping said.
“No worries.” Wang Yao said. It did not take much time for him to see Su Xiaoxue’s disease.
“Dr. Wang, since we come from Jing, we want to have a small trip to Haiqu. Do you have some recommendations?” Song Ruiping asked.
“A trip to Haiqu?” Wang Yao was confounded a bit.
The biggest characteristic of Haiqu was that it was near the sea. In deep winter, it was quite windy at the seaside. There were two mountains in Lianshan, but they were bleak in winter with the strong wind. There was no worthy sight to see. Wang Yao indeed could not think of any place suitable for the mother and her girl to stroll about.
“Lady Song, there are only few places in Haiqu that are worthy of strolling about in this season,” Wang Yao said. He did not want to cheat them but could not think of where they could go.
Song Ruiping was shocked a little. Su Xiaoxue was disappointed hearing his words.
No one could guess Wang Yao would reply like that. In fact, Song Ruiping just wanted Wang Yao to show his hospitality as a host and take them to wander around to make her girl happy.
“Ah, no matter,” she said.
She knew that it might not be because Wang Yao did not want to show them around. Instead, the mountainous city was really small. In such a season like deep winter, where could they go?
“You don’t have hurry to go back, do you?” Wang Yao asked.
“No,” Song Ruiping said.
Wang Yao thought carefully. He knew there were only two mountains worthy of strolling about. There was even a temple on the mountain. “Ah, there are two mountains here that have some artistic prospects. I can show you there if you want.”
“Good,” Su Xiaoxue said with a smile.
“Then, I have to bother you,” Wang Yao said.
“Not at all,” Su Xiaoxue said.
Wang Yao drove in front of them to show the way. Two cars followed behind him.
“Ah?” Sun Yunsheng was coming out from his house when he saw the two cars with Jing plates. “Guests from Jing?”
He was clever. He knew the difference of the two plate numbers after one look, even though they were seemed quite normal.
“Are they very respectable guests?”
Jiulian was not high. It seemed to be quiet and beautiful in spring and summer, even in autumn. But, now it was in winter. There were very few people on it. And, it was very cold.
“Xiaoxue, do you feel cold?” Song Ruiping asked carefully.
“Not really.” In fact, her face was chilled to be very red, but she was still quite happy.
“Stupid girl!” Song Ruiping was a bit worried about her girl.
Her legs could not yet move freely, so she sat in her wheelchair pushed by Chen Ying.
The mountainous roads were not bad. On the mountain, it was not very interesting to walk along the flat cement pavement. What’s more, there were some places where the wheelchair could not go. Su Xiaoxue was still really happy, like a bird escaping from its cage. She constantly looked around and asked Wang Yao questions from time to time. Her cheerful spirit infected the people around her.
“There is even a temple on the mountain?” Su Xiao curiously looked at the small temple on the hillside.
“It’s call Guangming Temple,” Wang Yao replied. It was a very normal name for a temple.
“Is it an ancient temple?” she asked.
“It used to be, but it was damaged,” Wang Yao said.
It was said that the temple had been built during the reign of emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty, possibly even before. It had been damaged in the movement after the country was founded. It had been thoroughly damaged expect for the groundwork.
“Really? What a pity,” Su Xiaoxue said.
“What about taking a look?” Wang Yao asked.
They went up to the stairs, but it was a little troublesome for Su Xiaoxue. Chen Ying was supposed to carry her on her back.
“Sit steadily.” Wang Yao easily raised the wheelchair up by one hand and carried it on his back.
“You are so strong!” Su Xiaoxue exclaimed.
Chen Ying was not very surprised at that. She had seen his marvelous power on the Great Wall.
The temple was really new. One could guess that it had been built not long ago. It had no feeling of history, which made people going up the mountain lose interest. There were some monks in the temple.
“Benefactors, do you go up the mountain for making a wish?” A middle-aged monk approached them asked. He smiled after seeing them walk into the temple. It was uncommon to see visitors at this time of year.
“Hello.” Wang Yao smiled and looked at the monk in front of them.
“Hello,” the monk greeted him.
“Is dog meat delicious?” Wang Yao asked.
“What?” The monk, Song Ruiping, Su Xiaoxue, and Cheng Ying were all shocked.
Then, Chen Ying smiled. She seemed familiar with the scene.
“I don’t understand what you are saying,” the monk said. “I am completely indifferent to worldly temptations as an ascetic.”
“Ah, good!” Wang Yao smiled. “We won’t burn joss sticks. We will just take a look and worship.”
“Good, please come in,” the monk said.
He looked at Su Xiaoxue and Cheng Ying in a different way. His eyes were fixed on them. Monks on the mountain rarely saw girls, let alone beauty.
“How beautiful the girls are,” he unconsciously said. “One is mighty in spirit and heroic bearing. The other one is so beautiful like a fairy.”
“Am I beautiful?” A cheerful sound said, like an oriole among woods.
“What?” The monk was shocked.
Su Xiaoxue chuckled.
“Look at you!” Song Ruiping laughed and glared at her.
“You could help yourself,” the monk said angrily.
“Sir, did he really eat dog meat?” Su Xiaoxue asked after the monk stepped away.
“Yes, he did, and he ate a lot of it,” Wang Yao said.
The monk was so angry that his whole body quivered.
