Emery's initial shock at finding Damo quickly morphed into a cold, creeping fear.

The monk's body, barely clinging to life, was being sustained by the very plants that had enveloped him. The young monk was motionless, his life force faint—almost nonexistent.

Realizing the gravity of the situation, Emery acted swiftly. He placed both hands on Damo's cold, lifeless body, summoning all the power of light he could muster. He focused his energy on a single wishing spell of life.

[Rebirth]

The spell was intricate and demanding, but Emery was certain that for anyone below the Magus realm, as long as a flicker of life persisted, he could use the spell to revive them. However, Damo's soul was in complete disarray, shattered by the force that had struck him.

"Please!! Let him live!!" Emery's voice quivered with desperation as he channeled all his strength into the spell.

His mind raced with the possibility of failure, the crushing reality that he might not be able to save Damo in time. He was prepared to go even further, to sacrifice one of his light artifacts—anything to restore the monk's shattered soul.

The energy around him intensified, the golden light of the spell weaving through the air, interlacing with the roots and the natural power of Gaia that still lingered in the forest.

To Emery's astonishment, his light magic and Gaia's energy began to work harmoniously. The light seemed to fuse with the life force in the roots, amplifying its healing properties and directing them into Damo's broken body.

The monk's chest, still as death only moments before, began to rise and fall with shallow breaths. His heart, which had been silent, now gave a weak but steady beat.

Emery's eyes widened in hope. Though Damo remained unconscious, the faint signs of life returning to him were unmistakable.

"Hang in there... just a little bit more..."

However, at that critical moment, the caves began to tremble violently, as if the earth itself was writhing in agony. The disturbance was followed by an unmistakable ripple of movement, detected by Emery's divine sense. It wasn't just a few entities—there were dozens, perhaps hundreds, converging from the depths of the ruins where the Abyss Gate was located.

Emery's heart sank as he realized the grim truth: the Abyss Gate, once sealed by the Kronos Magus, had been breached. The thought hit him with chilling clarity. The timing was too precise, and the connection too direct. The killer was likely responsible for this disastrous event.

Despite the mounting danger, Emery couldn't afford to pull himself away from Damo. The young monk's life teetered on the edge, and every second mattered. Emery's hands remained firmly on Damo's body, his focus unwavering as he continued to channel his power into the spell, desperately hoping to pull the monk back from the brink of death.

As the shaking intensified, the air became filled with eerie shrieks and the pounding of hooves.

Emery's gaze was drawn to the horde of Abyss creatures emerging from the darkness, their forms becoming increasingly distinct against the ruined landscape. Flaming hellhounds, their fur blazing like infernos, and stone gargoyles, their wings casting ominous shadows, poured into the forest in a relentless tide.

With urgency, Emery commanded Yama to safeguard the body of the Easter Sage. Meanwhile, Emery summoned Twik and his Chizpur brother, who responded with fierce loyalty.

"Kuang!! Ku ku!!"

The six stone creatures, their bodies a mosaic of rugged, earthen textures, quickly encircled the white trees. Their combined efforts formed a formidable defensive barrier, and each of them was ready to take a stand for any incoming abyss creatures.

For the gargoyles swarming the skies, Emery unleashed his swarm of shadow flame bees. Hundreds of these small, fiery entities ascended into the air, their burning bodies igniting any approaching gargoyle. The bees' relentless assault created a blazing perimeter, scorching the sky and pushing back the flying menace.

Minutes into the battle, Emery saw that Twik and the Chizpurs were starting to be overwhelmed.

"Ku ku!! Kuang kuang!!"

Despite their impressive defense, the sheer number of Abyss creatures began to strain their efforts. The barriers formed by the Chizpurs were showing cracks under the relentless pressure of the abyss creatures.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Emery knew that mere defense wouldn't suffice.

With a resolute expression, Emery decided it was time to unleash his new armies. He reached into his domain and summoned additional forces to bolster his defenses.

"CHIWIKK!!!"

The thunderous roar reverberated through the forest as Emery's dark-skinned orcs emerged from the shadows. These were the elite forces he had bred within his domain—60 formidable warriors, each as strong as saint-level combatants. Clad in tier 4 weapons and armor, they were a formidable sight. Leading them was Durak, a full moon-level orc commander, whose very presence radiated authority and strength.

"CHIWWIKK!! follow me!! DURAK!!!"

Durak's rallying cry fueled the fighting spirit of his troops. With fierce determination, they took their positions, fortifying the defenses and forming an impenetrable line against the Abyss creatures. The subterranean forest soon became a battleground of epic proportions. The clash of steel and the roars of combatants filled the air as the forest was engulfed in chaos.

Despite knowing that Damo had passed the critical stage of his revival, Emery chose to remain detached from the fray. Instead, he focused on enhancing his divine sense, scanning for any anomalies among the hundreds of attacking creatures. His mind raced, wondering if the culprits were hiding among the invaders or attempting to escape amidst the turmoil.

As the battle raged on, the earth trembled with increasing intensity.

Emerging from the oppressive darkness, three colossal one-eyed giants known as Cyclops made their entrance.

RAARGGRRR!!!

Their immense forms loomed over the battlefield, each step causing the earth to quake and the air to shudder.

These giants, towering and monstrous, were harbingers of unprecedented chaos. Their sheer size and brute strength added a devastating new dimension to the assault against the beleaguered defenders. Without warning, one of the Cyclops unleashed a powerful energy ray from its single, menacing eye. The beam sliced through the air with devastating precision, crashing into a section of the defensive wall. The impact shattered the fortifications, causing debris to rain down and creating a breach in the defenses. The energy ray injured one of the Chizpurs and obliterated several of the dark-skinned orcs, their lifeless bodies collapsing to the ground.
