Dimensional Store System In Apocalypse

Chapter 46: Returning to the Post-Apocalypse

Chapter 46: Returning to the Post-Apocalypse

'Stein, I know that my knowledge about computer hardware may be below the system, but can I ask…' Zhang Qin Feng was holding himself from commenting about his purchase, but he ended up unable to contain his curiosity.

After reaching the rented workshop, he immediately asked.

'Why… Just why are we buying so many heavy-duty air conditioning systems back to the workshop?' Zhang Qin Feng screamed after all his purchases have been placed on the empty space inside the workshop.

Anyone looking at the heavy equipment will undoubtedly imagine that this place will be converted into a preservation chamber.

The shutter into the workshop is soon getting knocked as another delivery vehicle is finally here. This car likely belonged to the computer wholesaler based on the clock.

"Hello, we're from the Suihe Computer Wholesaler. Where can we drop your purchase?" the delivery man asked.

"You can drive your van inside. Just drop them by that stack of stuff for now." Zhang Qin Feng said as he pointed at where the heavy machinery is.

[Toot!]

[The supporting reason behind these purchases is due to incompatibility between hardware. Furthermore, data processing is well known for generating too much heat due to workload. This made the system believes that the cost can be adjusted if the system managed to put them together at work]

Stein's replied was hard to understand as usual.

But since there's nothing much he can do, Zhang Qin Feng decided to ask less. With the system entirely supporting him, there was nothing much for him to worry about.

It takes close to a week for all the rework to be done. In the meanwhile, Zhang Qin Feng did not simply waste his time either. While investing in the differences in currency, he also practiced the eighteen martial techniques to increase his survival rate in the post-apocalypse.

"Where's your partner, young lady?" a guy that buys and sells salvage goods asked Satella as she tried to exchange a few boxes of bullets for Duranium Shards.

"Dead. Bitten by one of the zombies on our way back." Satella coldly answered the question.

"Ah, that's unlucky. So, what else do you want from the shop? Decide quickly. It's almost time for the curfew." the shopkeeper said.

"Curfew? What's with the new rule out of sudden?" Satella asked. It puzzled her because this was the first time she heard about the curfew imposed on a Survivor's Camp.

"You're out of the camp for few days, I supposed. The previous camp leader is dead. Now, it's Wei-Lian's time. There will be a daily curfew starting from 10pm night to 6am morning. During that time, only those with his signature Luna Device are allowed to walk around."

"There's also a surcharge of 1 Duranium Shard the next time to come inside this camp, so always make sure you have some spare with you. Is there anything else you needed?"

The shopkeeper roughly explained what has changed to the survivor's camp. His attention immediately turns to another customer after he finished with the business with Satella.

'It's getting harder and harder for us to stay in the survivor's camp. I think I'll have to find a new place to go after this…' Satella sighed. After making sure she's well prepared, Satella left the camp without looking back.

What she had no idea about is she was marked as a target when she left. It seems the individual called Wei-Lian had something else in his mind as his subordinate record the people that left the survivor camp before the curfew.

'I wonder will he come as he said tomorrow. It's almost a week.' Satella guessed on the way back to the residential area.

Saturday night.

"Congratulation for successfully setting up your own digital mining center." Wang Yufei kissed Zhang Qin Feng's cheek as both of them were naked on the bed. Maybe it was due to the urge that was occupying their mind earlier it made the couple went for a round before they cooled themselves down to have a talk.

"Thank you, Yufei. It won't happen if I don't have you by my side. I'm glad that you're being so supportive of me. Zhang Qin Feng said. Feeling that he'll have to treasure this woman more, he tightened his arm around her before bringing her closer to his chest.

Compared to before, Zhang Qin Feng's body is much fitter right now.

This is the evident sign that the Strengthening Serum and his daily exercise.

"As long I can help you… Is there anything else you wanted to do next?" Wang Yufei's face turned red as she looked at Zhang Qin Feng. It was the first time for her to experience something like this.

'How can I still feel embarrassed after being with him for so long?' Wang Yufei smiled.

After Wang Yufei left to work, Zhang Qin Feng once again traveled to the post-apocalypse. But it was slightly different again this time as there was an extra bag in his hand.

There was a small part of him looking forward to meeting Satella.

With the Phalanx X-02 is in hand, Zhang Qin Feng moves swiftly into the first apartment block without looking back. The Luna II in his system scanned six zombies in the vicinity. But lucky for him, none of the zombies is present inside of the building.

He immediately went up the stairs until he arrived at the one he has yet to explore before. After making sure that he kept the bag in a safe place, Zhang Qin Feng started his salvaging task by going from one unit to another. The gain was steady at first, but it was getting bleak as he encountered more apartments that were salvaged by the others before him.

'Looks like the others were here long before me. It will be a miracle if there's still something good left.' Zhang Qin Feng shook his head, knowing that he was late to this place.

Hesitantly leaving the first apartment block, he met with Satella.

"Satella!" Zhang Qin Feng raised his gun as he pointed at the zombies chasing her.

"Ah!" a smile is on her face the moment Satella saw Zhang Qin Feng.
