Chapter 275: Return

"Aargh!" three of Zhang Qin Feng's soldiers were caught in the monster's attack range and ended up into a pile of goo after all the screams were gone. Even the weaponry and equipment on them were melted along with their flesh and bone.

"Everyone, careful!" Alex fired the remaining Decimator's Warhead on the monster's head to keep it disturbed.

Queenie and Shaun forcefully dragged Zhang Qin Feng and Satella out of this central chamber where their movement space was restricted. Nothing is more important than the safety of them both right now.

A hint of madness appeared when Alex noticed that the two top figures of Wind Base were gone.

"You monster! How dare you get rid of my three best men!" Alex reloaded the rocket into his Decimator Launcher and fired at the monster without fear.

On his second shot, the monster struggled and swung its tail at Alex. But it was dodged by the latter by relying on the exoskeleton to boost his jumping height.

Alex was like an acrobat as he followed up by feeding the monster with the lead and iron coming out from his rifle. Along with the assistance from the other soldiers surrounding the beast, they're giving it a lesson it won't forget.

Until…

The head of the monster burst open, and a figure is escaping from all the flesh.

"What the hell is that?" the soldiers tried to follow the figure, but their responses weren't as agile. When their gun pointed at the shelter's exit, they blasted open; it was already escaped.

"FUCK!"

"Queenie! Shaun! The monster is coming out from the shelter!" Alex quickly chased.

"Boss! Vice-Boss, you should go first. We'll take care of the monster before it catches up with us!" the two quickly turned back and aimed their gun at where they came.

The speed of the monster was out of their expectation. Even having a headstart, the beast catches up with Zhang Qin Feng and Satella in less than three minutes.

As they're staring straight at the monster as it came, Zhang Qin Feng noticed that the beast no longer resembles a snake but a humanoid. A naked one that looks identical to Satella, except for that flat ironing board chest.

"Satella," Zhang Qin Feng called her name as he took the Raven Sniper Rifle out from his Dimensional Storage.

"What?" Satella casually responded to him while she was aiming at the clone that looked identical to her.

"I'm confident that I won't recognize you two wrongly." Zhang Qin Feng chuckled and fired the Raven in his hand. The bullet's speed was so fast that it struck the Satella Clone before it could react.

"How can you aim so accurately? You're not wearing the headgear." Satella complained. Her shot followed and took the clone down on the ground.

"I had my blessings." Zhang Qin Feng chuckled.

The opportunity they created allowed Queenie and Shaun to suppress the Satella Clone to keep it down. Whenever it looks like trying to retaliate, a Decimator warhead would be fired at it to injure it further.

This continued until the clone once again separated itself into smaller clones. But it failed to notice that the smaller it was, the more fragile it looked.

Unable to change its fate, the monster eventually killed Zhang Qin Feng and the others.

The sensor also no longer sensing anything else around them.

"Boss, we've captured 80% of the Turbine Town. Right now, only a few outskirt locations remained." a soldier reported to Zhang Qin Feng inside the MCC-01.

Two nights have already gone from the time they killed the monster known as Lamia. And during Zhang Qin Feng's rest, more people were coming from the base as they provided help to the soldiers working day and night here.

With the Lamia now out of the list, the Turbine Town's Shelter production is returning to normal. Zhang Qin Feng's control over this entire town means he had reserved all the upcoming manpower produced by the shelter for his personal use.

Although taking over the shelter's control panel would take him a little more time, he can confidently says that he had complete control over this place.

And while the process of taking over this place was going on slowly, that doesn't mean their operation was as slow as it seemed.

The Wind Base currently has three bases around this southern part of the land. The nearest major city was the Strand Metropolis, located up north. Before the apocalypse, it was believed to be a city with over a billion people.

Feeling that he would have to go against the one known as Tyrant King very soon in the future, Zhang Qin Feng thought he had a need to strengthen his control over this southern part.

With the Turbine Town now coming under his control, the problem with manpower can be said to be half solved. Right now, the shelter was providing him with two to five clones with various valuable skills.

It's been two months since the flight accident.

The search for survivors has to be called off, even if they're unwilling to quit. But no matter how much they insist on continuing, no people are willing to do so.

After a lengthy discussion between the searching party, they eventually decided to disband.

And on the second day, after all the search parties were gone from the area, something appeared 30,000 feet above sea level.

It appeared to be a balloon-like item that kept the content secure as it was coming down to the water surface without control. The fall created a small wave that caught the attention of the research sonar system scattered around the area.

But the commotion was gone when the report about outrageous weather was the culprit behind this reading. No one was in the sane mind to make a wild guess that someone had returned.

'Stein… What's my status?' Zhang Qin Feng had a hand on his neck. Even with the support of so many layers of protection, the landing was still rougher than his expectation.

[The user had a mild concussion due to the rough landing, but no injuries were found. Would the user like to deploy the Emergency Mini Command Center right now?]

Stein responded.

'Go ahead.' Zhang Qin Feng nodded.
