425 Pushing the attack
Activities began bustling within Linchester as new orders were received. In a tent at the center of Linchester was Kaido whose upper half was bandaged and left exposed while Lucy sat beside him, gazing at him deeply.
“He wants us to press the attack but in a very effective way. We are not sacrificial tools anymore. Instead, it feels like both sides are actually fighting a war to win.” Klien said with a deep frown.
Lucy heard this and frowned deeply, it felt like they were deviating from the original plan and getting dragged into a war between gods but they are nothing more than pawns in the hands of these gods.
Huff!
Klien exhaled deeply before looking at his surrounding with a calm look on his face.
“Any other news we should know of?” Klien asked with a raised eyebrow while gazing at the kneeling shadow mage, whose face was covered with a hoody.
Hmmm...
The messenger hesitated initially as if pondering to release the information before speaking.
“Olanka and Naz have been fortified, leaving the center as the least fortified... I believe this is a trap set to lure us in” the messenger said and Klien laughed.
.....
What are you thinking Damon?
Klien’s eyes exploded with wildness before calming down temporarily.
“The center is the most fortified regardless of what we do and Damon knows that. Damon never sets traps, he just puts you in a situation where you can never reject what he offers. Considering we are the ones lacking in numbers we have no other choice but to focus our forces on Olanka or Naz if we wish to break through... What he wants is a decisive battle and nothing more. That we will give him” Klien said with eyes blazing with cruelty.
“Honey...” Lucy tightened her grip on him as she pressed her huge chest on his arms.
“We can only do our best in this war and that’s the end of it all. We will show these gods we cannot be easily defeated” Klien said with a soft look before his face turned stern while he turned his attention to the kneeling shadow mage.
“Prepare our people, we are taking Olanka!” Klien’s eyes glowed with fierce blood light as he said these words and the eyes of the shadow mage shone with excitement!
Yes, master!
With this the messenger fell into a pool of darkness beneath his feet and vanished, leaving Kaido and Lucy alone in the room.
“The temples, need to be redesigned, and their gospel of death spread. You are aware of this right?” Klien asked with a raised eyebrow.
The main purpose of this is to regain as much power of faith as they can for Damon. By converting people who they conquer in each city they can help hasten Damon’s return.
**************************************
Naz is a massive city, located west of Linchester and with even higher walls surrounding it. By the time enemy scouts arrived it was obvious the place was completely fortified as the walls and gates were riddled with soldiers ready to welcome the enemy.
From the distance soldiers of the Palace of Death slowly began entering into view as they proceeded.
The soldiers above the wall of Naz swallowed deeply as a dark Fog followed the approaching army of death and at the center rod, the enemy formation was a massive carriage carried by over fifty people. On it were the two leading generals of the Palace of Death and the only surviving oldest friends of the death mage.
Ba-Dump!
Ba-Dump!
Ba-Dump!
War drums began beating heavily as the tension in Naz rose to its peak and it was obvious a heavy battle was about to take place.
Klien looked toward the massive walls and frowned. His gaze shifted to the Draconian squad of ten behind him and he casually waved his hand.
“Begin....”
Buzzz!
The army of death began bustling with excitement as ten humans with reptilian eyes appeared in the picture with cold looks in their eyes.
They gazed at the long-standing walls and a hint of disdain could be seen in their eyes as all then clasped their hands together and inhaled deeply.
Buzzz!
The world trembled crazily as the neck of the trio expanded massively and red light could be seen pushing up from their belly to their neck.
Heavenly Dragon Breathe!
Swoosh!
More than ten beams of fiery red hot power spun violently while racing toward the walls but strangely the soldiers didn’t seem disturbed, instead they gazed at the attack with disdain as visible ripples could be seen across the wall and golden energy dragon scales emerged from thin air, forming a barrier across the walls as the attacks hit.
“If you choose to enter Naz you will have to do better than that...” A cold and aloof voice rang violently in the ears of the enemy as they spotted two figures standing at the center of the wall.
One was Cecile who was dressed in a white and golden robe while behind him stood a hooded man in completely black robes. The two stood side by side, gazing at the enemy forces below, and in their eyes was the determination to make sure this war in the southern province ends there.
Yay!!!!
Upon seeing the duo the morale of the soldiers on the wall reached an all-time high as they all screamed in joy to express their emotions. Most believed they would do to the attack from all the Draconians yet they managed to survive somehow, why wouldn’t they be happy?
“Remember not to get involved personally. You pushed your body too far the last time and it will affect your fighting skills. Since you are good at strategies and warfare, you take charge of the board and we will be your pawns” the gravity cosmic spirit said with cold eyes.
He has been ordered to follow Cecile’s orders by the Beyond so he had no other choice but to go as he is told to.
He had no other choice but to submit to this kid
