271 A choice to make!

Bleegh!

Kyle spat out more blood as his eyes were pinned on Silver. He looked fierce and pissed by what happened but he had no control over it. The sky demon man was the most powerful amongst them in terms of physical endowment yet the man was killed so easily by Silver. His strength was on par with that of Alex Briggs if not stronger.

“You...” Kyle muttered with an extremely pale face. To be able to survive this long without a heart was simply due to his strength and nothing else.

“I took my time analyzing the information on all races and beings that could be found in this universe. In exchange for working with the Estos race, I was able to gather some information on all of you and of course, finding out about the Shaman race was never an issue since you all are proud and loud... this body was built after analyzing all my possible enemies and deciding what form would be best for survival in this world... You lost against me decades ago before you even knew this fight would take place!” Silver said with a calm tone and the more he said the more terrified the enemy became.

Kyle realized how wrong he was. Everyone assumed Alex was the strongest member of the invincible duo, who knew the one no one noticed was actually the strongest in the group.

“You cannot...”Kyle muttered before spitting out a mouthful of blood.

“I did my research and one the centuries the Shaman race has looked down on other races and enslaved many even before joining the alliance. You look down on all beings and do as you wish. That’s why I have decided to take it upon myself to wipe you all out and I won’t stop there. With the spirit tower, you are sure to reincarnate every century. Don’t worry I know about it... I will bring it crashing down and eradicate every trace that your worthless race once existed” Silver said with a cruel smile on his face.

“Do- do you think you can go against the village chief? He is one of the only king realm experts in this world! You cannot fight him, HAHAHAHAHA!” Kyle laughed hysterically like a mad man but seeing a cruel smile bloom on Silver’s face, he turned pale again.

“What is the difference? Even if he is at the king level, how is it useful if he can’t harm me?” Silver asked with a raised eyebrow.

.....

Hearing this, the smile on Kyle’s face vanished and he turned pale again! Before he could speak, Silver’s hand struck forward, grabbing Kyle by the neck. He grabbed Kyle’s shoulder and pulled, pulling out the head from the body so effortlessly, one would think he was just tearing a piece of paper.

Even Alex wasn’t this strong!

“You are the only one left” Silver said with a charming smile while looking at the deity race lady. His eyes were able to hide his killing intentions as he casually flew towards the lady.

“Leave her...” Alex’s voice sounded as his body floated hopelessly in space.

By the time already spoken those words, his eyes were as sharp as daggers, digging into Silver’s back which made him uncomfortable but Silver tried to show it.

“You have plans for her?” Silver asked with a raised eyebrow.

Silver was already standing in front of the lady and his hands were almost at her neck. If Alex had been a tab bit slower she would have been dead already.

“I have reached a wall in practicing the golden statue technique. I need someone who can help me overcome this issue. She will be of use to me” Alex said calmly.

Seeing him float around without making any effort to gain control over his body was amusing. Although he wasn’t fully healed, he should have some strength to do far more than he is doing now.

“What the hell happened to you?” Silver sighed while looking at Alex with strange eyes.

.............

At the round table of the council, everyone was seated including Alex. After the last battle, he had lost most of his once long majestic hair. Under Silver’s stern gaze he recounted everything and his plans to liberate all the races under the control of the alliance.

While he recounted how these people had no choice but to kill themselves for the sake of their families that were in the hands of the alliance, everyone in the room was boiling with anger.

Except for Silver.

“An impressive way of fighting... if all leaders of the alliance are like Kyle they should be able to hold back the invaders much longer than expected. In my opinion, this is good news!” Silver said nonchalantly.

Buzz!

The entire room fell silent as everyone wore grim expressions on their faces. Even Alex frowned slightly at this comment but he didn’t react as fast as the others.

“So you plan to let them all die?” Alex asked in a calm voice as he leaned back but his gaze was frosty as ever.

“Yes ... If that’s what is necessary for survival” Silver answered honestly and casually.

Too casually.

Bang!

Daemon Briggs smacked the desk with his fist and rose to his feet in anger but then an incredible force befell him, forcing him to sit down. He wore an astonished look on his face as he saw Alex seated at the other end of the table, gazing directly at Silver with fierce black eyes surging like a whirlpool.

“I gave them my word that I would at least try” Alex said calmly.

“They are dead now. Why risk the life of the living for the dead?” Silver responded casually again without any hint of emotion in his eyes.

“We are sacrificing those we do not know, to save those we know... which would you prefer, unknown families, getting ravaged and murdered by the enemy. Or our family with Tracy, Danny, and Little Alex dying at the hands of the invaders?” Silver added with a casual glance across the room.
