166 Chapter 166: Alone time

“What would you have me do? Abduct kids from the wastelands of this country. Those who have never known luxury? Do you think they deserve that fate more than the ones I picked? I had two choices, I made a decision.” Danny said coldly.

“You are not getting the point! We don’t abduct kids! No matter what the case is” Alex said as his fists clenched fiercely.

His eyes were pitch black and even the eye of little beast on his head lit up in flames but Danny didn’t seem intimidated.

“Elderly people have wasted potentials... abducting a massive number of youths like you is a hassle since they can fight back perfectly well. Kids were my only option.” Danny insisted.

“You are not getting the point...” Alex said but he was cut off by Danny.

“No, you don’t get the point! I didn’t get this far just to stop now. What I saw was terrifying and the human race will be wiped out if I don’t do something about it. Necessary sacrifices have to be made to even get a little ray of hope. If I get to a point where my death is needed for us to move forward I will happily give my life... they should be ready to do the same!” Danny said coldly with his silver eyes glowing fiercely.

Silver stood in between them with a frown on his face and His hands raised. He saw no reason to let this argument continue since there is nothing to gain.

“Did you succeed?” Silver asked

“I did... but I can’t undo what is done already. I need to get rid of these incompetent goons in the tyrant gang soon so I need a capable army able to overpower them” Danny said coldly.

.....

Everyone was confused at his words and gazed at him with a strange look. While would someone create an army to overpower his army? None of this makes sense.

“Do you think I wouldn’t have used them if I had the chance? But the Tyrant gang has two upper levels... there are the pillars... A to B-rated general’s that lead the goons in large scale battles and finally there is Tyrant. Those are the co-founders of this group. You can say they are the founding members while the pillars are like the core members... No matter how strong I am I can’t go against five S-rated deviants and humans alone.” Danny said with a stern look, leaving Alex and the rest shocked.

Is the tyrant gang really this powerful?

This explained why the government was unable to deal with them even before the appearance of Danny.

“I am only the leader of the Tyrant group by name but that’s all... I bring up a suggestion and the Tyrant members vote to decide.” Danny said with a bitter smile on his face.

At this point, Alex and the others frowned. Knowing Danny wasn’t in charge meant their lives were in danger here.

“Chill, no one would dare attack my honored guests. I may not be strong enough to kill them all alone but if a fight broke out many of them will die before they kill me.” Danny said coldly.

He could tell what they are worried about.

“So what are we doing here?” Alex asked as he gazed through the window again and noticed the house was moving.

By now he already guessed that this was the mighty black base product, which is like a massive vehicle that is no different from a home but it’s also mobile.

It wasn’t just there’s, there were close to thirty plus of these vehicles moving through the Sahara desert.

Alex frowned as something came to mind and he turned to Danny and asked a question.

“You have the same ability as me so I guess that’s the reason you leveled up really fast... what happened, why did your growth stop?” Alex said.

He wanted to know if the matter absorption has a limit.

“I made a mistake and a good decision at the same time. I tried to upgrade the matter absorption through that same method and it worked. I got the ability to steal powers but the basic and most important function was gone” Danny answered honestly and Damon frowned.

“So if I evolve mine, I will get a new ability? Do you have an idea what it may be?” Alex asked and Danny shook his head

Alex sighed and with the massive crystal core, he left the room.

Apparently, in Danny’s black base there are no people there, so Alex had to find his way around. He found a corridor full of rooms and just took the last. There he sat down and sighed.

His body felt exhausted and he couldn’t help but think about everything that has happened during this short time. From a step closer to their dreams to nothing. Completely nothing.

He hated the fact things turned out this way but he didn’t regret his actions. His mind raced back to when he pulled his hands out for Queen and the rest, the reluctance in their eyes made his eyes shiver.

Queen’s attempt to attack them broke his heart too. He was the one to believe that family comes first no matter what. If they really believed this they wouldn’t hesitate to leave with him. Only Kung Jun did this without hesitation.

This is someone whom he didn’t think much of then.

“I guess there is this thing about loyalty and honor instilled in Asians. Sometimes I envy them. Many of them died in history, fighting for what they truly believed. How many of us can boast of that now?” Alex sighed before stepping into the bathroom and washing himself clean. His wounds were healed but he still had blood stains all over his body.

After showering he walked out of the bathroom considering what to wear. All these clothes were left behind.

Luckily when he opened the wardrobe, he didn’t see the same white robes again, he saw clothes of random sizes and wondered if Danny prepared all of this in hopes of finding a new family of his own or maybe he planned ahead and waited for the day he could bring them over
