"New batch of succubi, shapeshifters, and mares are ready to depart for the next cities, my lord." Ayre provided a report using the remote communication feature.
I yawned while sitting, leaning against a tree. "Some new supplies are coming tomorrow, so we'll have to wait, Ayre."
"Sure." Ayre was silent for a moment. "Are you sure this method is still sustainable, Your Honor? I'm sorry if I ask this, but I heard that the government has started to move to eradicate your teachings."
I briefly checked Alain, who was practicing a combination of punches, then continued the conversation. "Don't worry, we always brainwash the leaders first, people who have great influence. They can even arrange for their officials to lie to people from the capital."
She sighed. "Yeah, maybe I'm overthinking."
"Well, to reduce the risk, I'm planning to keep them a bit more low profile on missions anyway."
"Glad to hear that, my lord."
"Lord Vorn!" Alain put his hands on his hips and snorted at me. "You don't seem serious about teaching me!"
I just waved to the boy. "Then, bye, Ayre. Report to me again if there is anything else."
Alain approached me, looking even more annoyed. "You always get distracted while training me!"
"I'm a demon lord." I got up and stretched my body. My wounds have almost completely healed thanks to Lexi's treatment. "So, I'm really busy... Hey, how about we take a look at the minotaur wrestling matches. Looks like it will start in a bit."
Alain clenched his fists. "But I've only been training for a while!"
"We need entertainment." I keep walking away. I thought it would be fun to teach this little boy. However, in reality, it became a chore instead.
Just watching him carry out orders was boring for me. Coupled with a lot of complaints.
Even when I'm walking like this, he keeps nagging. It seems I was wrong to make him my disciple.
Just as I was halfway through, I saw Skeleton B sweeping the fallen leaves. I was about to say hello to him, but he did something weird.
The bone undead dropped his broom, then did a combination of kicks and punches into the air. Apparently, he didn't notice Alain and me coming.
And surprisingly, the movement of that undead looks good.
"Skeleton B," I called him. "You have a fighting style similar to mine. You don't mind training this boy, do you?"
Skeleton B froze and looked at Alain.
"Now you are running away from responsibility, Lord Vorn!" The boy snorted again.
"So, how about it, B?" I ignored Alain and asked the sentient skeleton again.
Skeleton B scratched his hairless head. "It's okay. I just hope that I still remember my skills as a fighter…."
"That's why you randomly did fighting moves between your work, right?" I cut him off. "So, it's decided. Alain will be your student. By training him, you'll probably be able to keep track of your moves."
Without waiting for an answer, I pushed Alain away and continued on my way. The boy grumbled again, but I paid no heed.
On the way, I greet the workers or those who are training, whether humans or demons. I have to maintain the image as a good leader in front of them, after all.
When I arrived at the location, I found two minotaurs standing opposite each other in a circular arena. Like that mini soccer, I also created this game.
The minotaurs would wrestle while standing. Whoever makes the opponent fall to the ground in any way will get one point. Meanwhile, if you make your opponent out of the arena, the points are three.
It was a simple game but accommodated the aggression of the minotaurs. And the risk of injury is also less than if they hit each other.
As I approached Ritor, who was sitting on the ground, I held back my laughter. The fur on the minotaur general's head looked so neat and split in the middle. It didn't quite match his intimidating appearance.
"I really appreciate matches like this, Your Honor." He mumbled, seemingly oblivious to how I felt about his appearance. "But, sorry…. I think this is only a temporary solution to suppress their desire for war. Sooner or later, they will have to be on the real battlefield."
"Relax, Ritor." I sat beside Xenora, who also just came to that place. She also seemed to be holding back laughter at Ritor's appearance. "I'm gathering information regarding the lizardmen race. I think they'll be a worthy opponent for the minotaurs."
That race of scaly creatures was discriminated against by humans and excluded from civilization. So, we have to be careful with them.
The big problem was that the lizardmen's bodies were massive, on par with the minotaurs. So, my shapeshifters can't infiltrate their place looking for information.
"Thank you very much, my lord." Ritor bowed to salute me.
"You just trained Alain again, my lord?" Emily sat on the other side of me. Her eyes immediately met Xenora's.
I could detect a glimpse of disapproval on the succubus' face. Emily also seemed to be holding back.
Even though a long time had passed since their fight, their grudge was still there.
"You are fitting as Alain's father, Your Majesty." Emily continued, only glancing at Ritor's hairstyle. "But maybe he will be confused about choosing who his mom is."
I chuckled. "I don't think of Alain as my son. He's just a kid who wants to be here."
"Well, if you want to be his father, please don't make me his mom. To be honest, I don't really like children."
A sinister laugh escaped Xenora's mouth. "What if you have children of your own? Undead can get pregnant, too, right? You only need the seed of a high creature. Lord Vorn is the right individual for that."
"Hmmm…." Emily rubbed her chin. "I try not to think about it."
Xenora narrowed her eyes at Emily. However, the supreme undead watched the match unfold instead. A minotaur has just managed to push his opponent out of the arena.
Sensing the uncomfortable atmosphere between them, I contacted Ozig, the workers' leader. I had already prepared something for something like this.
"Ozig, the place is ready, right?" I asked with a smile.
Emily sighed. "Ah, it's about your other secret project, huh?"
