Velvet kept looking at the minotaurs, wondering why the horned creatures stopped and didn't attack.
"W-we can't fight them." A soldier cried while shaking his head. "L-look, they are huge!"
"Yeah, you all won't be able to fight them." Velvet's words made the thirty soldiers gasp. However, the prophet immediately added. "That is if you are not with me. Have you forgotten why I am with you now, soldiers!?"
The squad members fell silent.
Velvet got off her horse, put on her helmet, took her rapier from her waist, and pointed it upwards. "I swear I will lead you to victory! Your spilled blood will not be in vain! So, come down and fight them with me, soldiers!!!"
Velvet came down because she considered fighting on horseback against those creatures to be a disadvantage. She and the others wouldn't be able to use her agility in battle.

"No, Velvet. We better run and find a way out of here." Still sitting on the horse, Candice whispered to her friend.
However, a soldier dismounted, and he was the one who cried just now. Not long after, the others followed and prepared with their respective weapons.
Their eyes also focused on the minotaurs, which numbered around twenty.
Candice sighed and dismounted as well. She gave her best friend the usual buffs and was about to speak. However, she doesn't do it when she finds the prophet chanting a prayer in a low voice.
"Oh, my God. Give us protection. Give us strength to eradicate the evil before us, my God. We are here to fight in your name….."
The prophet lowered his sword. And right after that, her body emitted a dim white light.
"This…." Candice studied her body which also gave off the same light. While looking at the soldiers, she discovered that they were also radiating that light.
Candice wonders if this is the famous holy buff.
Not only increasing abilities, but the buffs that come from the prophet will also calm those who are going to fight, as well as make them only focus on God and the opponent in front of them.
In short, the buff will trigger people to become their best version in battle.
Even Candice, who doesn't believe in God, feels someone is watching her from above.
The worry inside Velvet has vanished. She really was ready to exterminate the demons in front of her.
Meanwhile, the minotaurs led by Ritor were restless. Their breaths were uncontrollable, and they were already glaring furiously.
"Why don't we attack yet, Sir Ritor!" one of them shouted.
"We want to crush them!"
"It's an order from lord Vorn! Just fucking wait!" Unlike the others, Ritor seemed calm, even though his fighting spirit was already burning.
Lord Vorn had ordered him to observe their enemy first, and that would be used as a report. There was a possibility that Ritor's army would lose, and the information obtained could be utilized in the next battle.
Of course, Ritor did not agree with that. For him, the important thing was fighting the opponent. Thinking about future fights was pointless.
However, the general will not go against his master's orders.
"My brave soldiers!" Velvet shouted again. "This is for the glory of all of us!!! This is for our people, our world, and our life!!! In the name of God, attack!!!"
The soldiers dashed forward screaming, led by the prophet herself.
They have to win. Stories of their success would spread later, giving hope to humans. That the prophet really is there for them to eradicate the darkness.
Feeling that nothing could be observed anymore, Ritor also shouted. "Kill them!!!"
With roars like wild beasts, the gigantic creatures finally advanced with their weapons raised.
However, just a few feet before they stepped forward, a long mound of dirt appeared in front of them, forcing several of those minotaurs to stumble.
That moment was used by the prophet's troops, who stabbed them with swords immediately. After that, the minotaurs were overwhelmed by the humans.
The sword-and-shield warriors moved swiftly and effectively. They attacked the minotaurs' heels, rendering the horned creatures unable to get up.
And with ease, those humans slashed their opponents.
This is coupled with the shots of archers and magic users who are always on target. Several minotaurs had their eyes pierced by arrows, their bodies hit by chunks of ice or large boulders.
Meanwhile, Ritor could only continue to avoid or block Velvet's attacks. The prophet carried out thrusts in fluid motions, occasionally managing to graze the minotaur general's body, causing long, smoky burns.
This is happening too fast. Ritor looked right and left only to find his comrades lying on the ground with blood-covered bodies.
Continuous shots of arrows, boulders, and chunks of ice hit his body, causing him to lose his balance. The prophet became more and more eager to pressure the minotaur general.
Ritor's mind should be filled with Joy in this situation. He found an opponent who gave him a challenge, after all. However, for the first time, he felt something else.
If the prophet continued to attack him like this, he would eventually die.
It was then Lana's face flashed in Ritor's mind.
And as if gaining new strength, he jumped up. Seeing that the minotaur was about to fall on him, Velvet hopped aside to dodge.
The minotaur general had yet to land, but he had already swung his massive axe. That weapon hit Velvet's body, sending her flying into the wall of a house until it was destroyed.
"Ughhh…" Because she was wearing forged Mythril armor, she only felt pain from the impact. Ritor's weapon can't penetrate her battle outfit.
That woman got up with difficulty between the ruins of the wall. And as soon as she came out, she saw pieces of human bodies flying.
The human soldiers were not as lucky as the prophet. They only use ordinary armor. Ritor easily swung his big axe to eradicate them.
The holy buffs of the prophet were useless in front of the raging minotaur general. The human troops could not run away, let alone attack. Their speed is now far behind.
"Arggghhhh!!!" The prophet screamed and ran towards her enemy again.
