Chapter 300
“An hourglass that will let me turn back time…?”
Siegfried could not believe what he heard just now.
Turn back time?
Yes, this was a game, but was something like that even possible?
‘Come on… There’s no way something like that will work,’ he refused to believe it.
“It is true,” the knight said as if he had seen through Siegfried’s thoughts. Then, he continued, “I didn’t get the chance to use it myself, but I’m certain that the hourglass is imbued with ancient magic that will allow you to turn back time.”
“Come on…”
“I see… So you find it hard to believe…”
“I mean, how can such magic exist in the first place? Someone would have ruled the world by now if that were possible, you know?”
“I guess you really find it difficult to believe me. Oh well, it does not matter. That hourglass can really do such a thing.”
“Hmm…”
“I do not have the time to explain any further. I have to go now, but I hope that hourglass will help you one day.”
Their conversation ended there.
Sereuk…!
The knight faded away after handing over the Hourglass of Miracle to Siegfried.
They were finally able to rest in peace after six hundred years.
“What kind of item is this…?” Siegfried muttered before flashing his Rune of Insight on the hourglass.
‘There’s no way this thing can turn back time. That’s impossible.’ He was skeptical of the knight captain’s words. The knight was probably lying, or he had probably misunderstood the item’s effect. After all, it simply didn’t make sense for an item to be capable of turning back time.
But…
[Hourglass of Miracle]
[An hourglass infused with ancient magic to turn back time.]
[It will allow the user to wind back time by one hour when used.]
[Type: Accessory]
[Rating: Epic]
[Warning: This item will be destroyed upon use.]
“What the heck?! He wasn’t lying?!” Siegfried was floored after confirming with his Rune of Insight that the hourglass indeed possessed the ability to turn back time. It was only a measly one hour on top of being a single-use item, but it could truly turn back time.
“T-this is awesome…” Siegfried muttered in disbelief after realizing what he got his hands on. What would happen if he used the Hourglass of Miracle? He had no idea when and where that would be, but he would definitely perform a miracle by then.
‘Thank you for the gift, and I’m sorry for doubting you when you were giving me such an amazing gift. I hope that all of you are resting well on the other side…’ Siegfried prayed in his heart as he bid goodbye to the Eternal Isles.
***
Shwooooong!
Ingrid was sitting next to Siegfried inside the Huracan. They were on their way back to the Proatine Kingdom.
“We… We’re almost there, right…?” Ingrid asked.
Siegfried looked at the map equipped on the Huracan called the Dragon Navigation and replied, “Maybe? I think we have around thirty minutes left.”
The Huracan made by the Dragon Lord didn’t fall behind the technology used by cars back in the real world.
“What are you going to do once we’re back?”
“Huh?”
“Are you going to marry… that elf bitch?”
“…” Siegfried hesitated for a second before he replied, “I have to—she loves me.”
“What about you?”
“I love her, too,” he replied without any hesitation this time.
Siegfried’s feelings toward Brunhilde were quite complicated, but he would reach the same conclusion no matter how many hurdles there were. In the end, Deus’ advice had truly helped him be honest with himself—even if this was just a game.
“I see…” Ingrid muttered under her breath in a bitter voice before saying, “You like her as well.”
“Yes.”
“You didn’t even look at me once.”
“No, that’s not…”
“Forget about it,” Ingrid said. She got up and turned her back on him. “I’m going to go drink some water. I’m thirsty…”
“S-Sure.”
Siegfried didn’t stop her from drinking water.
‘Well, I would probably need a drink if I were her…’
He felt extremely guilty toward her. He hadn’t done any sins against her, but he still felt bad knowing that she was in pain because of him.
‘She’s probably not going to interfere with the wedding this time, right? I mean, after all this mess? No way…’ he thought. A sense of foreboding gripped his heart.
And he was right…
Beep! Beep! Beep!
An alarm went off.
— Warning! Warning!
— The door has opened mid-flight!
— Please close the door right away!
Siegfried was flustered at the sudden warning, ‘What?! D-Don’t tell me…!’
He set the Huracan on autopilot and ran out of the cockpit.
‘No!’
He was scared that Ingrid might have done something drastic.
***
A powerful gust was rushing into the airship from the open door.
.
“Euk…!”
He was forced to hold onto a chair. He couldn’t take even a single step forward.
“Ingrid!” Siegfried shouted. Ingrid was standing in front of the open door and was staring at Siegfried. The air outside was trying to drag her out, but she remained rooted in her spot.
The grip strength of a Level 299 NPC was so powerful that she had no issues withstanding the wind at great speeds.
“Don’t do it, Ingrid! Don’t kill yourself because of someone like me! Close the door! Hurry up and close the door! Let’s talk about it!” Siegfried shouted and tried to stop her.
‘How can I face hyung-nim if I let her die like this?!’
He tried his best to stop her from jumping off while thinking of how Lionbreath would feel if Ingrid were to die here.
“Please don’t do it! Please!” Siegfried screamed as he took a step forward.
“Don’t come near me…” Ingrid said with a faint smile, and then she added, “I’m going to jump if you take another step.”
“A-All right! So please don’t jump, okay?!”
“That depends on you,” Ingrid replied before she asked, “I’ll ask one question.”
“You can ask me a hundred questions, just don’t jump!”
“Did you ever… like me even a bit? Don’t lie. I’m going to jump the moment I catch you lying.”
“I didn’t even have the time to like you! I told you that what you remember was all an illusion made by Hamchi! We didn’t even spend that much time together! How can I like someone without going out with them even once?!”
“So that was it?”
“Who won’t be flustered when a woman suddenly comes to him and asks him to do it?! I’m still a virgin, damn it!”
“R-Really?!”
“Yes! I haven’t even done it back in my world, so I got scared when you pounced on me like that! Isn’t that just natural?!”
“How can I believe you?”
“It’s up to you! I have nothing to hide, so please don’t jump! Come here, and let’s talk it out! Let’s talk!”
Siegfried shouted like a madman in hopes of stopping Ingrid from jumping, but…
“All right, I understand. Congratulations on your marriage,” Ingrid said with a bright smile.
“Thank you, so please come over he—”
Siegfried extended his hand toward Ingrid.
“Goodbye.”
However, she let go and was sucked out of the door.
“NOO!!!” Siegfried screamed and ran to the door.
‘I can’t let her die!’
He had no plans to let her die like this, but…
“Huh?”
He noticed something resembling a large umbrella in the distance.
“Congratulations! On your marriage! And I’m sorry for ruining it!” she shouted from a distance while gliding with her parachute. It turned out that Ingrid was wearing a parachute before jumping out of the plane.
“Congratulations on your marriage, and I’m sorry for ruining it!”
“No, it’s okay!”
“Later! Give me a chance when I come to you later…! Would be great!” Ingrid continued shouting.
‘She’s unexpectedly cute, and it turns out that she’s not really a psychopath. I guess she really likes me a lot,’ he thought while watching her glide into the distance. He could somewhat understand her feelings.
She liked him but could not stomach the sight of him getting married to someone else. Not only that, but she had ruined the wedding ceremony by unleashing snakes from the sky, so she probably thought that there was no way she could go there after all that.
She probably had no other choice but to leave because of everything she had done.
“See you again! I haven’t given up on you yet!”
“All right! But don’t be away for too long! Hyung-nim will start getting worried!”
“All right! Congratulations again!”
“Thanks!
“Bye!”
Ingrid disappeared into the distance.
Thud!
Siegfried closed the door.
‘I hope she won’t wander for too long…’ he sincerely thought.
— Twenty minutes until destination.
— Commencing descent.
The Huracan’s system said.
“Oh, I’m almost there.”
He went to the cockpit and sat down in the pilot’s seat.
It was now time for him to really get married.
‘Wait for me just a little bit longer…’
It was also time for him to meet his soon-to-be wife, Brunhilde.
***
“Siegfried-niiiiiim!”
Brunhilde ran at scary speeds and hugged him. She looked like a recovering addict who had gone through severe withdrawal phases for the past few days.
“Siegfried-nim… Sniff! Sniff! Sniff…!”
“Sorry, I’m late. I tried my best, but it still took me two weeks to get back,” Siegfried said while comforting her.
“No! Not at all! I’m grateful that you returned! I love you the most, so please do not disappear ever again!”
“All right,” Siegfried replied as he hugged her tightly.
“Waaaaaah!”
And his tight hug made Brunhilde cry a river and wail like a baby.
Siegfried was slightly happy to see that someone had been waiting and crying for him.
Pat… Pat…
He patted her back as she cried.
‘I guess she really loves me,’ he could feel just how much she loved him.
“So you’re back?”
Deus appeared and greeted him with a smile.
“Yes, Master!”
“So, do you finally understand why I told you not to swing your nether part around?”
“I-It is a misunderstanding, Master!”
“Enough. Hurry up and prepare to get married now that you’re back.”
“Hahaha…”
Deus did not bother revealing the fact that he beat the Dragon Lord to a pulp and threatened to do more if Siegfried didn’t make it back to the Proatine Kingdom in one piece.
“What about… What about Ingrid…?” Lionbreath carefully asked.
“She’s safe. I will tell you the details in private, hyung-nim,” Siegfried replied.
“Ah, alright… and I’m sorry about everything…”
“Why should you apologize, hyung-nim? I will tell you everything in a while, so please be patient.”
“Thank you, brother…”
Siegfried consoled Lionbreath a bit more before going back to the castle with his comrades and subjects.
A week later…
“Here comes the bride!”
…the royal wedding resumed.
***
“A beautiful couple in these turbulent times… No, an average guy and a beautiful lady are getting married. I hope you will be blessed with numerous children and live happily ever after.”
Deus did not bother making a long speech, but it was more than enough to tie the knot between the two.
“Woooo!”
“Hurray for His Majesty, the King!”
“Hurrah!”
“Hurray for Her Majesty, the Queen!”
“Hurrah!”
Siegfried and Brunhilde’s union was tied under the blessings of many people.
Ding!
A message popped up in front of Siegfried’s eyes.

The message was related to adult content, but Siegfried ignored it.
“Alright, my son-in-law! Hurry up and go!” Lohengrin said.
Siegfried tilted his head in confusion and asked, “Go where…?”
“We elves have a custom where a married couple must immediately form their physical bond in the Tree of Love located in Elondel right after tying the knot. It is all for the sake of cementing their union.”
“F-Form a what bond where?!”
“Hurry up and go!”
Siegfried was dragged to Elondel and was forced to hold another wedding ceremony that was far more modest compared to the one in the Proatine Kingdom.
Then, the newlywed couple’s first night finally arrived.
Siegfried was lying down next to Brunhilde in a gigantic tree called the Tree of Love.

A message suggesting that he should start engaging in playing Mom and Dad popped up every second right in front of his eyes, and the frequency of their appearance convinced Siegfried that the System wasn’t making any suggestions.
