Rean faintly smiled as he thought. 'Many years? Hold my beer!' Too bad he couldn't really speak that aloud.

Roan snorted but didn't say anything. Following that, he approached one of the palace workers, who was observing him. "I finished my research. We can leave now."

However, the worker shook his head. "First, there is someone who would like to talk to you. Would you mind following me?"

Roan was puzzled but nodded in the end. It shouldn't be anything important or bad. If it was, there would be no need to wait for him to finish his research in the terminal. They could have simply tried to force him to come directly.

Rean sat in a restaurant and asked for a few dishes while he watched the events happening to Roan through their connection. 'Do you think someone saw through us?'

'If they had, I doubt they would have let us finish the contest,' Roan spoke his thoughts. 'Besides, would they have allowed you to leave?'

Rean had to agree. 'Well, that's true.'

The worker didn't take long to bring Roan to a separate room from the main palace. There, someone was already waiting for him. Finally, the worker left Roan and the new guy alone.

Roan looked at the man. "Karev, right? The guy that always stayed by the queen's side."

Karev looked back at Roan. "That would be me. I asked you to come because I have something to ask." His expression turned serious. "You aren't someone from this planet, are you?"
