Chapter 19: Cultivator's Organization
“He is from the Cultivator’s Organization?”, asked Khal with a surprised expression and glanced at the man again, but this time with greater inspection.
As he looked at him, he noticed that his clothing and robe looked almost identical to that of Jake’s, but after a small while, he noticed a few differences.
The robe was not entirely white, but it had several thin silver threads in it, giving it a silvery shade, while on the chest a circular-shaped emblem could be discerned.
It was a colorful swirling whirlpool that had an abyss black cube in its middle. The shape and the detailed carvings on it were incredibly similar to that stone Khal saw once in the Realm Pillar before.
That was the Cultivator’s Organization emblem.
While Khal was silently examining the emblem on the man’s chest, the man stepped forward and with a slight bow, he started to talk.
“Let me introduce myself. My name is Carter Torres, but please just call me simply Carter. I’m here to ask you a few questions about the incident that took place exactly a week ago.”
As the man called Carter talked, he sat down slowly next to Khal and started to ask questions one after another.
“So how did it happen? Can you please tell me your story as detailed as much you can?”
Khal looked at Carter and after a small sigh he was about to start telling the man the truth, but suddenly he noticed something in the corner of his eyes.
“Eh?”
Glancing toward the man’s finger, Khal noticed a black ring with a symbol on it and started to frown slightly.
“Where did I saw that symbol?”, thought Khal with confusion, but suddenly his eyes widened with shock and his hand under the blanket touched his pocket.
In it, he could feel a ring-shaped object, making him remember back instantly just what did he find in the assassin’s pouch a week ago.
“That emblem… It is exactly the same as the one I found!”, thought Khal as he watched the dragon which wanted to eat its own tail on the ring.
“Can you please tell us what happened?”, asked the man again, but this time Khal could feel an annoyed tone in Carter’s voice.
Looking at his calm expression, Khal thought for a while and after a second later did he sigh and start to speak.
“I’m truly sorry Sir, but it seems my memory is still blurry. I can’t recall any memory at all.”
“Is that so?”, asked Carter and looked at Liza on the side and asked, “And you? Can you remember anything? It was you the one who called for help, so you should be able to see what happened.”
Liza seeing the man’s glare looked at Khal on the side, but after seeing his calm yet sharp gaze, she instantly knew that something was not right here.
If Khal truly lost his memories of the incident temporarily, then he would have been looked confused at the moment.
Knowing Khal’s nature, he would have started to ask questions about the matter instantly the moment he woke up from his sleep, but he didn’t.
This showed that Khal knew exactly what happened, but for some reason he decided not to, which was strange.
After thinking for a while she scratched her head and said, “I’m sorry, but the moment I have arrived where the accident happened, Khal was already lying unconsciously on the ground. But if I can remember right, someone had run away in the woods the moment I arrived there.”
“Someone? Details.”, asked Carter with a slightly raised eyebrow.
“Yes, now that I remember back at it, I can clearly recall that it was a man in a silver robe. Yeah a silver robe, I’m 100% sure. I can not miss something so obvious when it was a full moon at that time.”
When Carter heard this he looked at Khal, but seeing that he was truly clueless about what Liza said, he nodded and stood up.
“I see, thank you. If you excuse me, then I will take my leave now.”
With that said, after Carter bowed at Khal, Liza, and Jake, he turned around and walked away.
Watching as Carter left the room, Jake smiled and while standing up he said calmly, “Well then, now that this matter has been solved, I will run a few tests on you. If everything turns out to be okay, you are free to go.”
“Sure. Thank you.”, said Khal with a smile and let the doctor do what he was supposed to do.

Outside on the street, the man called Carter arrived before a narrow alley, and after looking around he walked in.
While walking in the thin and dark path, he tore the robe off from his body and threw it into the trash on the side, revealing a muscular body instantly.
As he did this, suddenly out of nowhere, a man in a black robe and a white mask on his face appeared right before him and stayed still in silence.
“Tsk… This sh*t has irritated my skin, it was so f*cking annoying! At least, I could finally take it off!”, said Carter and glanced at the masked man before him.
“Report back that it was not the boy who killed them. He seems way clueless about what happened that night. Also, tell the boss that the brat’s friend told me it was another person who sabotaged our attempt. It was someone in silver robe, so it should be associated with the Cultivator’s Organization.”
The masked man listening to this nodded slightly and without saying a single word, he vanished into thin air, leaving Carter alone in the alley again.
Glancing toward the sky, Carter moved slightly his bulging muscles and after a while, he started to frown slightly.
“Still, I can hardly believe that someone protected him. Who would prevent a Talentless brat’s death? Especially from the Cultivator’s Organization. It must a ridiculous joke!”
As he said this, he turned his glare back at the hospital which was hardly visible in the distance and after thinking for a while he shrugged.
“Well, whatever! I’m sure that I will find out the truth sooner or later.”

Back inside the hospital, Jake ran a few tests on Khal’s body, like checking his physical strength, the essence level in his body, and his coordination skills.
After the fact that his life was in fate’s hand and no experts could help him throughout a week, Jake made sure to check everything on Khal.
After almost 9 hours of checking and testing, Jake sat down before Khal and started to read the several data on the hologram before him.
Reading everything from the beginning to the end, Jake leaned back into his chair, and with a smile, he said, “It seems you are as healthy as a newborn baby. You can freely leave, but if you still feel weak then you can stay here too until you don’t feel, better.”
“Ahh… Finally! Thank you very much for everything but I feel perfectly fine!”, said Khal with a sigh of relief and stood up.
Seeing that Khal was ready to leave, Jake smiled and said, “It is perfect then. It was a pleasure to meet you.”
As Khal heard this he smiled too and thanking Jake’s help once again he bowed and left the room with Liza on his side.
However, the moment Khal closed the door, Jake’s smile vanished instantly, and glanced at specific data on the hologram before him.
‘Cultivation Talent: @&#%|%#@’
“It was stated inside his files that he failed to obtain a Talent and ended up as a Talentless. So what should this exactly mean? It is definitely not an error.”, said Jake to himself quietly, and with a deep frown, he started to think for solutions one by one.
