Chapter 77: My Name Is Red Scarf

A dog and cat fight was a common sight.

A much less common sight was a cat torturing a dog.

Fu Sichen’s Persian cat was awesome. Not only was it unafraid of dogs, but full of action and fury, taming even the magnificent—or rather, seemingly magnificent Husky.

The cat and dog owner hardly had time to react to the fiasco. It was the cameraman who acted fast and displayed his professional training, pointing his camera at the Persian cat and Husky.

Pei Zhen was a sharpshooter with the lychees. The Husky wanted to retaliate, but in the end, was completely inundated and started begging for mercy.

“I was wrong. I was really at fault.” The Husky whimper. “Please stop bullying me.”

Pei Zhen was aghast at the complaint of violence.

“Jack!” Lin Yousu called out as she recovered from the shock. She quickly ran up to the dog. She held Jack’s face in her palms and saw that he had dirtied fur and red eyes. Jack was in a state of shock too.

Despicable!

The Husky was a big dog, and even if he couldn’t kill the cat, he should be good enough to frighten him. In the end, Jack was the one who was terrified.

“Best Actor Fu.” Lin Yousu was going to complain about his cat being fierce towards her dog, but couldn’t bring herself to say the words because it was decidedly embarrassing. In the end, she only alluded to it by saying, “Your cat is quite ferocious.”

“Pei Pei.” Fu Sichen was equally speechless, but no matter what he had to stand by his cat. “It was wrong of the Husky to waste the lychees, but you shouldn’t have hit him.”

Wasted… lychees…

The crowd was quiet for a moment, and the photographer raised his thumb in his heart.

Awesome.

Indeed Fu Sichen was awesome.

With a few words, he had managed to shift the blame to the Husky.

When Lin Yousu figured out the meaning behind Fu Sichen’s words, she was livid. She wanted to fight for more exposure, but she saw the Persian cat taking big strides towards the Husky.

As Pei Zhen approached the Husky, the Husky’s body stiffened, and he whimpered.

“Wasting food is shameful.” As Pei Zhen said this, he pushed the lychees towards the Husky. “Don’t you know that Uncle Farmer works very hard? Eat it!”

The Husky shook his head with tears in his eyes, expressing that it tasted awful and he really didn’t want to eat it.

“You didn’t peel the shell off—of course it tasted awful.” Pei Zhen said with a sarcastic roll of his eyes. He used a paw to hold down the lychee, and then the other paw to remove the shell, revealing the white flesh within. Once again he pushed it in front of the Husky. “Try it now.”

The Husky hesitated for a short while. Pei Zhen was forcing him, so he unwillingly lowered his head and took a bite.

The full, sweet flavor of the lychee immediately released and spread in his mouth.

Although people said animals didn’t like eating fruits, the taste of the lychee was definitely not deplorable. The Husky’s eyes lit up, and he looked at Pei Zhen in amazement.

Pei Zhen acted humble, extending his paw to give the Husky a light pat on the shoulder. “So now you’ve learned to appreciate lychees? No need to thank me. My name is Red Scarf.”

From foes to friends, the cat and dog war of the century was over quickly. Not only that, the harmonious ending was unexpected.

The miraculous thing was that the cat taught the young Husky how to appreciate lychees. The Husky learned well—first remove the shell, then spit the seed. The photographer was so excited to capture such a scene that he could hardly hold his camera still.

Lin Yousu had no other outlet, and could only pretend. “Fu Sichen, your cat… is really quite clever.”

With one motion, Fu Sichen caught the cat as he jumped into his arms. With a subtle twinkle in his eyes, he said, “No need to feel inferior. My son has always been smart.”

Son?!!

The Persian cat almost jumped out of Fu Sichen’s embrace.
