...…
Just like any other tournaments, there would always be a post-match interview after every important match like this; especially if it was the final match. And all of the reporters from different entertainment industries would naturally be quite excited about this.
Unfortunately, both Shin and Demon refused to have an interview. In fact, they didn't even attend the post-match interview even if tournament personnel offered them some extra rewards.
Due to that, all of the tournament staff were left in an awkward spot as they didn't know how to deal with that kind of situation. And in the end, all they could do was to cancel the post-match interview since they couldn't force the two to attend it.
Regardless, the match became a huge hit as all of the entertainment companies earned quite a lot from covering it. And naturally, both Shin and Demon got a huge portion on that. And that money was going to be sent straight on their bank accounts after the taxes were subtracted from it.

Meanwhile, the Grand Champion of the Shadow Ranking Cup was currently inside his room and reading the statement of accounts of his 'earnings'.
He really hit a jackpot this time. Aside from the money he was going to receive from the entertainment companies, he also earned quite a huge amount of money from the betting poll of all of his matches.
He originally wanted to convert some of his golds into real-world currency, but he decided to go against it since the money that he was going to receive from the online coverage of his fights was quite huge.
At the same time, he also decided to convert all of the money that he got from the betting polls into in-game currency. After all, he was planning to develop the Calderock Town into a city which was going to require a lot of gold.
And if he added those golds with the current funds that the Calderock Town had, he was sure that all of those golds were more than enough to directly upgrade his Intermediate Town into an Intermediate City.
"Skipping two ranks? Heh! That was going to be nice," thought Shin as he started formulating some plan. And after a brief moment of thought, he suddenly added. "Hmm… maybe I should ask Ribbit to start preparing for that."
After making some plans with his in-game money, Shin turned his attention to the rewards that he got from winning the Shadow Ranking Cup. And the very first thing that he looked at was the extra Skill Points and Legacy Points.
If he added those with the accumulated points that he currently had, he now had a total of 187 extra skill points and 77 legacy points. These extra points were quite a lot for ordinary players – but for someone like Shin and other experts, these extra points were still very few and quite lacking.
Take the 'Regan's Method' Legacy Skill for example. This skill required a whopping amount of 70 Legacy Points just to be upgraded to level 2.
And now that Shin thought about that, he was thinking which Legacy Skill he was going to upgrade next.
"Hmm… which skill was going to benefit me the best? 'Mondi's Jump' and 'Mondi's Movement' don't need to be upgraded yet. The number of jumps that I can do are more than enough for me right now. And it will even increase if I regain a few more stats for AGI."
"On the other hand, I rarely use the speed boost that the 'Mondi's Movement' provides since I have quite a number of movement skills and other speed boosting skills. This is really a good skill for speed bursting, but it is more of a trump card than a normal one. So, I can delay upgrading this one for now."
After that, Shin turned his attention to another set of Legacy Skills, the 'Mondi's Style', 'Duplicator's Eyes' and 'Regan's Method'.
The first skill was the most used skill from his arsenal. He frequently used this skill since he really enjoyed changing the form of his sword sheath.
Moreover, this particular legacy skill was the base of his 'Elemental Possession Skills'. So, it could lead into another Elemental Possession if he unlocked one more form from the 'Mondi's Style'.
But based on the experience that he had from his awakening quest, one of the forms that he would get was going to be a greatsword and it was most likely the 'Judgement Form' of that legacy skill.
Shin started thinking twice the moment he remembered about that. He was still not sure if he could do the battle style suited for that sword. Unless he used his 'Telekinesis Elemental Skill' to mimic the battle style of Mondi's Clone from that awakening quest.
On the other hand, unlocking the 'Ethereal Form' of the 'Modi's Style' was quite different. It required a total of 100 LP just to unlock that form. It was unreasonably high, but Shin could tell that it was going to be a broken form once it was unlocked; especially when it was not shown to him during his awakening quest.
Meanwhile, the 'Duplicator's Eyes' was a pretty OP skill too. Though, he didn't use it yet since he couldn't find a good skill worthy for its slot. After all, the cooldown time of this skill was 5 days (In-game time) in whole – he didn't want this skill in cooldown when he saw a really good skill that he wanted.
With that, it was quite useless to upgrade this skill right now. So, it was better to set it aside for the time being.
Crossing out those two Legacy Skills, it seemed Shin already had the 'winner'.
Taking a look at the detail of this particular skill, Shin decided to upgrade it in the end. Though, he still hesitated to hit the 'confirm' button since it was too painful for him to use almost all of his hard-earned legacy points just to upgrade this skill.
"You better be a broken skill or else I am going to raise a protest if you are not – since it was a very rip-off price even if it was a legacy skill," muttered Shin while smashing the 'confirm' button in front of him.
And without further ado, he immediately opened his skill information window to look for the details of the newly upgraded version of the 'Regan's Method' Legacy Skill.
And the moment he saw the new information written on it, his mind suddenly went blank as he couldn't believe he just read.
------------------------
Skill Name: Regan's Method
Skill Rank: Legacy – II
Historical Note: Great Swordsman Regan was branded as someone that didn't have any talent in regard to Swordsmanship despite him loving the art of the sword too much.
But even if that was the case, he was too talented in the arts of Elementalism. So, he tried to find a way to combine his passion about Swordsmanship and his talent in Elementalism.
After years of research, he finally found a swordsmanship of his own.
Skill Details: Infused an elemental mana on your Sword Qi and transformed it into specialized sword spell.
Available sword spells:
Tier 1:
1. Cold Link (Active): Gathers a bunch of water/ice elemental mana on your sword before discharging it to send an ice bolt at your target, dealing 300% Magical Damage and slowing the target's movement speed by 30% for 4 entire seconds.
.
2. Burst Link (Active): Gathers a bunch of fire elemental mana on your sword before discharging it to send a fire bolt at your target, dealing 350% Magical Damage together with 5% burning damage for 4 seconds.
.
3. Binding Link (Active): Gathers a bunch of thunderbolt elemental mana on your sword before discharging it to send a lightning bolt at your target, dealing 300% Magical Damage, paralyzing the enemy for 2 seconds and dealing additional 10% static damage for 3 seconds (after the paralyzing effects).
.
4. Shadow Link (Active): Gathers a bunch of darkness elemental mana on your sword before discharging it to send a shadow bolt at your target, dealing 160% Magical Damage and weakening the enemy with 40% defense reduction (both physical and magical) for 3 seconds while also stunning the enemy for 2 second.
.
Note 1: All four spells have a shared cooldown of 5 seconds. At first usage, all fours spells could be used consecutively but the next spell would have a twice cooldown time than the previous one.
Example: If the first spell was used, it would have 5 seconds cooldown while the second spell would have 10 seconds and the third one would have 20 second (It doesn't matter even if the first skill was already cool-downed).
But if the second spell was used right after the cooldown of the previous spell, that spell would be counted as the first spell that would have a cooldown of 5 seconds.
.
Tier 2:
1. Chilling Touch (Active): After successfully hitting an enemy with 'Cold Link', they are going to suffer a 'Sheer Cold' that will continuously shred their HP for 10 seconds (10% of your total Magic Attack).
At the same time, the opponent's movement and action speed by 5% per second. If not cleansed until then, the opponent would freeze for 5 seconds.
Cooldown: None
.
2. Burning Hands (Active): Infused your sword with Fire Elemental Mana, setting it ablaze. And if you hit your opponent with that blazing sword, they are going to suffer a 'Gradual Heat' for 10 seconds.
During this effect, the opponent would suffer a continuous damaged equivalent to 1% of their total HP per second.
If not cleansed until then, the accumulated heat would result in an explosion that would deal a damage equivalent to 100% of your total magic damage.
Cooldown: 10 seconds
.
3. Electric Detonation (Active): When your opponent is affected by static damage, you can summon the Thunderbolt Elemental Mana in the air to strike your enemy down.
If the opponent was successfully hit, they were going to suffer a base damage equivalent to 300% of your total Magic Damage.
Note: The damage may vary depending on the accumulated Thunderbolt Elemental Mana. If there is rich electric energy on the surroundings, the total damage may multiply.
Cooldown: 20 seconds
.
4. Black Hole (Active): Gather a bunch of dark Elemental Mana on your hand and turn it into a black sphere. You can place down the dark sphere on any location you want inside the 5-meter range away from you.
The dark sphere will suck all of the magical skills/spells that entered the 10-meter range from it and absorb their powers.
Total Damage absorption: (User's Current Wisdom x 25)
Duration: 10 seconds
Cooldown: 30 seconds
.
Note 2: Upgrade this Skill to another level to unlock the upgraded version of the second set of sword spells. (the previous spells would be retained)
Upgrading conditions: 140 LP
Hint: Find Regan's secret laboratory to learn the full mysteries of this skill.
------------------------
Not only did the first set of spells get upgraded, but the skill also received another set of spells with even crazier effects.
Shin stared at the information of the skill for quite some time before muttering with a twitching mouth. "I guess this sh*t will turn me into an epic mage if I manage to upgrade it once again."
Then his lips started grinning while saying. "Though, I will take it gladly."
