...…
The battle between the two gods was continuing for quite some time already. And since the two of them persisted on going with either of them refusing to back down, the battle seemed to be a never ending one.
And even if this battle lasted for quite some time already, these two gods still didn't show any sign of being tired.
In fact, it was their spectators who were getting tired of watching them. It was not because the fight was becoming boring; actually, it was becoming more amazing and interesting as the time went by, the only problem was the spectators themselves.
Since Lawless, Faker, Ravier and Ember were a group of expert players, it was natural for them to put themselves in the situation of the battle. And due this, they already got tired because of the repetitive beating; especially with Ravier and Ember's case. No matter how hard these two had tried, they kept seeing themselves dying at the third move of either Arthur or Leonard.
On the other hand, Lawless and Faker could at least see themselves exchanging some blows with either of the two. But even if that was the case, they still couldn't see themselves winning with their current strengths. Though, both of them were still able to pick up some things just by watching the ongoing battle.
They stopped playing virtual games for more than 2 years. For some cases, that time was quite short, but for the gaming industry, that span of time was already long. Especially for peak rank players just like them.
There were a lot of things that they could miss during that long period of time. It could be some improved gaming mechanics or some newly discovered battle styles. With all of this new stuff, the current gaps that were needed to be filled were getting bigger and bigger, which was also the reason why the distance between them and the other leading players was also getting larger.
But unlike this group, there was a certain someone that was really getting bored watching this battle; and that was obviously Shin. It was not because he was not impressed by the battle and also not because he couldn't do what Lawless and the others were doing either.
He just couldn't enjoy watching the fight anymore. Yes, they were using some strong and powerful skills; yes, they were executing some incredible combat techniques; there were even some stunning moves that they were doing from time to time, but in Shin's eyes, what they were doing were quite repetitive.
After watching the fight for a little, he could tell that those two were just trying to hone of their skills by repeatedly using them; and once they reached the good understanding of that skill, they were just going to switch with another.
He knew that it was the original purpose of their current sparring match; to improve oneself through fighting. He was unable to see the greatness of the fight anymore due to its repeated process. Or to be more precise, he just couldn't see the things that he wanted to witness; just like what kind of Elemental Possession they had and how they were operating it.
Unfortunately, Shin could tell that the pair of Arthur and Leonard had no plan of using them based on how the things were going. Due to this, Shin became a little disappointed and sighed helplessly.
After that, he looked at Lawless and the others, who were still immersed at observing that ongoing battle. And the moment he saw that, he couldn't help but release yet another helpless sigh before muttering to himself. "Looks like my training session is going to get postponed due to these two."
When things reached this point, Shin had no other choice but to accept the current reality. And since he currently didn't have anything to learn from them, all he could do was to look for a secluded corner of the room while waiting for this seemingly never ending fight to end.
After that, he observed that battle for a little more before shaking his head and releasing yet another helpless sigh. He could also continue doing mental training by putting himself with either of Arthur or Leonard's positions; just like what Lawless and the others were currently doing.
But unfortunately, he couldn't bring himself to do that anymore since he was already aware of the huge gap between the current him and the other two guys. So, doing that kind of mental training was going to be too useless for him.
With that, he chose to browse in the online forum instead. It was for him to see if there was useful information that he could use. But he was not expecting much about it since he was aware that the Elemental Spirits were only available for players that had Transcendent Race.
And even though he knew that there were some players or organizations were aware of these types of creatures; just like the information brokers of the game, it was still not clear to them how to operate the Elemental Companion System.
It might actually be quite a bummer, but it was also understandable. Why would the players with Transcendent Races share such critical information to the public? Much less, share the information that they had discovered about using them.
Not only they were disclosed the information regarding their Elemental Companions if that happened, but they were also going to share that there was such a very special race, which was quite hidden for the public.
And if someone really did it, that was beyond idiocy; that was insanity. Who would share such a huge secret of that game? If that was not being stupid, then what was it?
But much to Shin's surprise, he came across such an idiotic player in the forums. The topic was quite hidden since there were not many players searching for such a term, but Shin did find a topic regarding Elemental Spirits.
And even if they were quite few, Shin could tell that it was accurate and right on the mark given how detailed the writer had explained the things regarding the said topic. What surprised him even more, all of the topics that he found were written by the same author.
"What the? Is this for real? It seems a little unrealistic," Shin couldn't believe that there was such a person that was going to share such an important information. "D*mn! If this is real, then this guy is absolutely a saint. Well, if he is not an idiot."
Having seen all of the topics, Shin became curious no matter how much he couldn't believe it. With that, he started reading all of the topics one by one. And the more he read, the more shocked he became. "D*mn! Everything that this guy said is true! Who the heck is this guy?"
Piquing his interest, Shin became curious about the identity of the author; the forum states that the author of the topic was named 'Molton Potter'. With such a straightforward name, Shin was unsure whether it was an alias or the real name of the topic writer. Nevertheless, he still started searching for it.
After looking from here and there, Shin finally found the author; and he couldn't help but feel so dumb the moment he found him. He tried looking everywhere but he kept failing to find him. And that was until he noticed that there were quite a few links at the very bottom of the written topic, which was actually quite negligible if you didn't pay much attention.
Moreover, since the links were placed at the very bottom of each topic, it was quite easy for anyone not to notice it especially since the written forum was quite narrative and almost full of text with some photos and short video clips in the mix.
And due to most of the people being too lazy to read such a wall of text, it was not surprising for the others not to see the links at the very bottom of it. Shin was quite an exemption since he really read such things as long as the topic got him interested.
All of these aside, Shin dived in the link and discovered that the author named 'Molton Potter' was actually an online content creator with a focused topic in the game. And he had quite a lot of content topics, which varied from different virtual games. (More like a Blogger or something in real life)
Unfortunately, this guy Molton Potter didn't have much followers or subscribers; there were not even a hundred of them in total to be exact. And almost all of them were even bashers that kept giving some negative comments on each of the video clips. Nevertheless, Shin still opened some video clips to watch, trying to see what this guy had.
The clips were quite similar to the online forums that Shin had read, quite descriptive and full of explanations. Quite boring for the others, but not for Shin; especially when he understood what this guy was explaining.
Most of the clips were simple game mechanics that were being explained in a tiniest detail, which was maybe the reason why there were not many players watching his videos and also why most of his viewers were bashing him.
But for someone like Shin, who just joined the gaming industry, these kinds of tips and explanations were already a big help for him. And through all of these, he could further understand how the gaming world really works.
What's more, he also discovered some interesting topics in the midst of these 'boring' video clips. There were even some clips which were a detailed explanation of some complex gameplays and there were also some topics about the combination of the previous basic game mechanics.
"Woah! This guy is good! I wonder why are these people not watching his videos, and are even bashing him," muttered Shin to himself after browsing.
After that, he subscribed on the page of this Molton Potter guy before downloading all of the video clips that he had. At the same time, he also started looking for more online forum topics written by this guy and started saving them one by one.
"Looks like I finally found a good research material that I can read. And it came at the right time since I am about to take a break on the game," said Shin after he was done saving everything.
Then he raised his head and looked at the still ongoing battle and saw that it was finally showing some signs of ending. "At last! These guys are finally getting tired of it."
After that, he stood up and started walking back towards the side of Lawless and the others. "I guess it is finally our turn this time."
