Chapter 175: Are You Messing With My Brother?
The small advanced silver colored spaceship moved through the infinite expanse of space with a Mach 8 speed closing in on a particular area.
In the control room of the Spaceship, two humans sat, one an older man with long silver hair while the other was a young man wearing a blindfold.
The silence in the room was quite stifling with the young man sitting in the chair motionless as if in slumber, while the older man would give him a few glances, a smile appearing on his face every time he sighted him.
“You’re just 10 minutes more from Disembarkation, please prepare…”
The AI voice rang out as the young man twitched in his seat before slowly sitting upright.
“Are we there yet?” His lazy voice rang out followed by a yawn.
“Yes. There it is.” He pointed forward as Quinn’s eyes narrowed seeing the small golden-coloured coloured planet in the shape of a half moon which was slowly growing larger with every passing second.
“The Celestial Titans Cultivation Ruins…” Quinn muttered under his breath, his heart slightly increasing in its rhythm.
“So you ready?” Old Man Mang asked with a taunting smile on his face to which Quinn snorted coldly too.“As if I’ll be in this ship if I’m only half ready…” Quinn said adjusting his mental state for what was to come.
— — —
The spaceship immediately arrived above the golden-colored planet quickly descending the strange golden-colored clouds and closing in towards the center of the planet.
Quinn already sighted the 9 gigantic spaceships present on the ground as his eyes narrowed coldly at one of the spaceships, silver colored just like the one he was in but his attention was diverted to the ginormous golden door where all the spaceships were facing.
A deep wave of golden aura undulated powerfully from the door rippling towards the entire planet as Quinn felt the shockwave rippling towards them enough to make his hair stand on end but the ripple soon passed by him, not causing any harm.
Old Man Mang controlled the spaceship making it land beside one of the ginormous spaceships, creating a comical scene of a car packed beside a trailer, but none laughed or mocked as they were well aware that the spaceship wasn’t in any way lower in quality than ones packed.
The door to the spaceship opened and Old Man Mang slowly walked out amidst the oozing gas.
“Is that the first butler of the Voidspace family? How come he didn’t arrive there with the Voidspace family’s ship?” The slight murmur of the other families’ envoys could be heard, and then was when the sound of footsteps rang out and a young blindfolded man was revealed to the world, coming to stand by Old Man Mang’s right hand.
“Hmm, who is he, his silver hair shows he’s one of the Voidspace family and should probably be a genius that entered into Old Mang’s eyes but how come his name isn’t on the list of geniuses…” The envoys murmured among each other.
But among the envoys, there was one whose mouth widened to the absolute limits, unable to take his eyes off the young blindfolded man.
It was the envoy of the Voidspace family.
“Young… Young master Quinn!!!” The envoy screamed out in absolute shock causing all the envoy to look at Quinn dumbly.
“He’s that small one that ran away from home…”
“I thought he died…”
Quinn picked up on all the murmurs but his calm eyes didn’t ripple for a second at all.
Old Man Mang slowly raised his hands upward as all the murmur quieted down, and then he walked towards the gate at a particular building where the remaining genius of the nine families was present.
Walking among the group of envoys of the other families, they all bowed their heads in respect whenever he passed by them while the envoys of the top three families also gave a nod of acknowledgement to the man.
They were all aware of who the first butler of the Voidspace family was and so was the terror of his name.
A legend that says even the patriarch of the nine families themselves would have to show up if he were to come to visit them. A man whose true age remains a history but was well older than the patriarch of the nine families.
An absolute old ghost.
Old Man Mang arrived at the entrance of the small building, which was like a small encirclement placed beside the golden door as he came to a stop with Quinn behind him.
“They said the golden aura the door emits helps to calm down the mind and clear away distractions. And it also purifies the quality of your Mana if absorbed. Make good use of it Quinn….” Old Man Mang sad causing Quinn to give a nod.
“And I know well of the hatred of your brothers in your heart, but remember your true goal which is finding the truth of the Voidspace family’s ancestral grounds. Any other thing can only follow that…” Old Man Mang’s stern voice echoed to his ears.
“Yes, Old Mang…” Quinn said respectfully.
“Good. You’ve never disappointed me before Quinn, and I know you won’t this time too. You can go and prepare too now. The gate should open in less than an hour from now…”
Quinn calmed his beating heart taking a deep breath in before moving towards the door, but suddenly a hand grabbed at his shoulder.
“You got this…” Old Man Mang said with a confident smile as he squeezed his shoulder tightly before releasing him from his hold as he watched Quinn close the door and enter the place.
— — —
For a split second, Old Man Mang’s eyes revealed slight worry but he soon regained his look as he walked towards the other envoys, chatting and communicating with them. He had built a very strong bond with the other families just before this day.
“So are we all here…” Old Man Mang asked.
“Yes, except for the EIAs…” A lanky envoy who seemed to be made of only bones and no blood at all said with a dissatisfied expression.
He was the envoy of the underworld family.
“The EIA is always as late as ever, only arriving at the last minute…” A female envoy chuckled, dressed in flowing silky cloth and her long purple hair blowing behind her with a small purple-colored fan in her hands. She was the incarnation of beauty and the envoy of the Hydra family.
Old Man Mang’s eyes suddenly narrowed as they snapped towards the cloud, followed by the envoys of the top two families.
“It seems they’ve arrived…” He whispered as the gigantic spaceship with the three large words, EIA, slowly entered the planet’s stratosphere and descended towards the port.
— — —
Quinn pushed open the doorknob as he slowly entered the place, the multitude of drifting golden particles welcoming him.
Looking around the room were around forty others around the age of 18, each sitting in groups around the entire place, crosslegged on the ground and absorbing the golden particles.
Quinn looked around the room, his gaze coming to rest in a particular place where a group of silver-haired humans were sitting down with two people sitting in front of them but he snorted coldly as he moved to the farthest corner away from the place and sat cross-legged before closing his eyes in meditation.
But he wasn’t even deep in it when an annoying voice rang out from the distance snapping the rest of the genius out of their meditative state.
“And look who is here. My lost younger brother…”
Quinn didn’t respond and he continued sitting down cross-legged as If he couldn’t hear them.
“You know I was really sad on hearing my brother ran away from home. His young heart couldn’t withstand the will necessary for the pursuit of power. Power comes for the strong-hearted and relentless, those are two qualities not all humans possess. But I still didn’t know to expect my brother to lack, it’s very saddening and disappointing of someone who has the same blood in me also running through his veins…” Nexus said with a mocking smirk on his face as he stared at the blindfolded young man.
“But even I nor anyone here would have ever anticipated the so-called lost young master of the Voidspace family to appear here at the Celestial Titans Cultivation Ruins, could you perhaps be looking for some substitute for your lack of will…” Raze said backing up his brother’s speech.
“You both should scram…” Quinn’s lazy voice rang out as he continued his meditation, the golden particles around the place calming down his head or he would have already jumped and torn those annoying faces in front of him to pieces.
“Oh, the younger brother found the big fat bone and now thinks he can compete in strength with the big brother…” Nexus said with a mocking smirk.
“So you are now at the Early Meteor rank stage and think you can now go toe-to-toe with us…” Raze said, fuelling the flames.
“You both should scram…”Quinn said ignoring all their taunts.
“Or what, little brother? You’re going to kill us?” Nexus asked as he raised his legs before stamping on the ground, causing some pieces of concrete on the ground to rise and he lazily kicked it towards Quinn, but they immediately pierced forward faster than a bullet towards Quinn’s face.
Of course, Nexus knew such a thing wouldn’t even draw blood from him, but it was the humiliation they were after in the first place though they were disappointed by the result.
The stone closing in on Quinn’s face suddenly began breaking apart when they reached 10 centimeters away from him and completely turned to dust just five centimeters away and blew off with the wind.
“Oh, it seems you’ve truly been working quite hard when you were being a scaredy cat, but it piqued my curiosity just how much you really grew…” Nexus said with an evil smile as he raised his legs once again preparing to stamp, but before he could, a hand clamped on his shoulder from behind as a lazy voice rang in his ears…
