The young man's cold expression immediately melted like snow and as though the previous interaction had been nothing more then a a dream, a smile bloomed over his face. "Apologies for my recent behaviour. It's rare to see new students access the third floor. I was being careful you know."
Erian relaxed a bit upon hearing this, but he gave off a nonchalant shrug as he replied. "It's alright, I understand."
The young man's chuckled brightly seeing Erian's noncommited reply. "I am Stivers, what's your name junior?"
Erian's was beginning to get irritated at this point. The previous excitement he was feeling was starting to wane at the questions of this second-year student. "Since our paths might not cross, I don't think it's necessary to exchange names.
The young man's smile froze and a cold loom flashed in his eyes before he covered it up with another brilliant smile. "You shouldn't say such ominous things junior. Seeing as you have the permission to access this floor, it means you are the Prime Student of your set right."
"You are really fortunate. While others had to work their assess off, kill and plunder even closest of friend for a Rare Nuclear Technique Prime Students not only get access to select one for themselves but also receives 10,000 blood points." His face was instantly clouded in sadness and grieve as though remembering the things he had done and the time he has accumulated enough blood points just to accesa this floor.
Erian's countenance remained indifferent as he blinked at the the young man's expression. "What does that have to do with me?"
The second year student sighed heavily and shook his head pitifully. "Sigh. I am hoping we could come to some sort of agreement. You see, I have only gathered enough Blood Point to exchange for a rare tier combat tactic, I will still have to work for another year to gather that same points."
"Like I said, what dies that have to do with me?" Erian pressed.
Stivers was starting to lose his cool as this junior was making things difficult but still, he maintained his facade as he responded. "You just excited the hall of technique s which means you currently have a rare tier technique with you. To be truthful to you, I come from a very wealthy and influencial family that once had a Beast Titan in its lineage, money isn't a problem for me at all! It's not how much I can give, but how much you dare to receive, name your price!"
Stivers face was solemn as he assured with his hand on his chest. His eyes eagerly gazing at Erian and a smirked form in his lips when he saw Erian's face shine at the mention of money. 'Hehe, the bait had been cast and the fish is hooked.'
"One million."
Stiver's face twitched slightly and his heart immediately stung but at the thought that he was going to get his money back once the Newbie protection ended, he let out a smile which seemed quite ugly.
Tapping his holo-watch, he spoke. "That price is a little too much, but like I said, money isn't a problem for me. Call your details I will transfer it to you now."
Erian's eyes glowed brightly! "Really?"
Seeing Erian's excited face, Stiver's heart lurched and his eyes alsmot turned cold with his muscles trembling. But he managed to hold himself back as he muttered to himself. 'Let him be happy for now.'
"You shouldn't doubt your seniors and always trust them in matters like this."
Erian happily called his details and to his surprise he received a chime sound and as he gazed at the message, the excited expression in his face melted like snow in an oven as he indifferently gazed at Stiver.
"Is something the matter junior?" Could this naive boy really know about his scheme?
"This is one million bronx here." Erian responded passively.
"Yeah, the one million you asked for." Stivers was really puzzled this time as he couldn't understand what was going on.
"What I asked for One million Sliva not Bronx. Why would I sell a rare grade Nuclear Technique for one million bronx." The look Erian gave him was as though he was looking at a very stupid person. It was as if this was the first time he was seeing someone so stupid.
Stivers was stunned. His brain couldn't comprehend what was happening. Weren't new student supposed to be plain and naive, respectful to their seniors and obedient? Then what was wrong with this junior? Was he actually being toyed around with?
"If there is nothing else, I will head inside now." Minimising the hologram, Erian turned to head inside the combat hall. He has wasted most of his time on this guy already, he didn't wish to waste any more.
"Where do you think you are going!?" A loud roar of pure rage reverberated through the entire hall, stiring up a massive gust of wind as yello lightning seem to crackle in the surrounds steam was been ejected out from as the surrounding was covered in a later of mist.
Stivers' face was twisted being compare. Veins buldgung out of his face as his muscles shook in purr rage.
Erian calmly gazed back at the second year student without the intention of moving a meter backwards from the surrounding force.
"I'm heading inside to select a combat tactic. Senior please, move out of the way."
"A junior actually daring to rip me off of my money? This must be a joke of the century. Don't you think you are asking to be killed?" Stiver's burst out into a angry laughter, his faze filled with murderous intent as his light crimson eyes glowed even redder. Added with his twisted appearance, he looked like a demon ready to devour Erian whole.
"Those who live by the sword, also die by the sword. Since you dared to swindle someone, be prepared to be scammed as well. Anyways, there's is still a month left for the newbie protection therefore, I'm afraid you can't do anything." Lips forming into a smirk, Erian brushed past the livid Stivers and proceeded into the Combat hall.
