The metallic Wolf sucked in a breath of air. His metallic body began to puff out toxic air as he released a fiery breath of fire. Lee Seng threw up a shield, watching the flames engulf him. Keng rushed forward, summoning the Hydrosphere and attacking the metallic Wolf, cutting off the flames.
The Wolf growled, retaliating with a left swipe at Keng. Keng blocked the attack, releasing a blast of water straight at the Wolf. The Wolf's body hissed creating a hardened exterior with the lava. He flew straight for Keng, wrapping his claws around his throat and pushing him into the other direction.
"Celestial Flame." Lee Seng blew out a breath of fire, covering the Wolf's back. The Wolf growled, throwing Keng to the side and turning for Lee Seng. "Gravitum: Alter Space." The Wolf flew straight into Lee Seng's trap. The world around Lee Seng and the Wolf changed. They appeared in space as the Wolf landed on the ground.
"Hmph, tricks like this won't work on me." The Wolf shouted. He howled, producing physical sound waves in fiery colors that slammed against the space. The celestial space fizzled for a moment before regrowing.
'This place is stronger than I thought.' The Wolf thought. He locked eyes with Lee Seng, tightening his claws into a fist as he thought of what to do next. Wolf could see strange energies oozing out of the Perfect Singular. 'He's as tricky as I thought… There's two of them like the data said. Now… How do I kill this one and mount his head on a wall for all the Deimons to see?'
Lee Seng broke stand still. He stepped forward, appearing in front of Wolf with Sun blade. He swung the blade straight for Wolf's neck, only to watch Wolf's insane reaction time block the attack.
"Tch!" Wolf clicked his tongue. "You think you're fast? I'm faster!" Wolf howled, blasting Lee Seng and his sword away from a split second before going straight for Lee Seng's throat. A golden shield appeared, repelling Wolf. Wolf slid backwards as Lee Seng flew forward. He swung his sword, releasing three strikes.
Wolf howled, repelling the attacks. The golden energy fizzled and Lee Seng jumped backwards.
'Lee! Lemme help you!' Keng telepathically shouted. Lee Seng's eyes burned purple and his light burned brighter.
'Make sure Olivia and the guy are fine.' Lee Seng told his companion. 'I'll kill this guy and find you.' The sounds of explosions echoed through the Altered Space. Lee Seng whipped his head to the right, leaving Wolf to pounce.
"What're you so worried about?!?" Wolf shouted. "You should be more worried about dying here!" Wolf extended his claws, slamming his foot down in front of Lee Seng. He turned his body, aiming straight for Lee Seng's chest. "Inferno Slash!"
Lee Seng lit up in smoke as Wolf's claw connected. Wolf took a small jump backwards with a large grin on his face. He had finally ended things. He looked around, watching the Altered Space start to distort.
'The Perfect Singular is nothing!' Wolf thought. 'I don't know what those knuckleheads were thinking when they said the Perfect Singulars were threats, especially the Leader's son!' Wolf watched the world almost peel apart when a strange feeling hit Wolf.
"Devouring Punch." Lee Seng whispered. He appeared with shallow marks on his chest. There were no burn mark indications whatsoever as Lee Seng's hand appeared on the back-side of Wolf. The fluttering noise of the wisps screeched. Wolf watched as the Altered Space closed. It grew darker, revealing its true form.
"You…" Wolf coughed molten blood. The wisps began to eat away at Wolf. It pulled on the Deimon energy, flying straight into Lee Seng. Purple eyes with ruby and sapphire orbs looked up at Wolf. "How did… Argh…!"
Lee Seng pulled away, standing as gold lines appeared on his chest. All of the Wolf's attack energy went straight into his suit, trapped and absorbed by the golden energy. His fists pulsed with heated energy, allowing Wolf to come to the conclusion without help. Wolf stumbled forward, reaching out for Lee Seng.
"You… I…" Wolf struggled to say a word. The molten mixture of blood, lava and metal hissed as it landed on the ground. Wolf continued to stumble forward, trying to reach for Lee Seng, who gave him a sad look.
'Why does he look at me like that?' Wolf thought. The façade began to let up, revealing a male Biohuman. 'Why do you look at me like that?!?' Wolf's hunger grew. The growl cascaded into a loud shrill. Wolf stopped in his place as his humanoid head began to shake in fear.
"You've failed to do your end of the bargain, dear Wolf…" The hunger growled. "I guess you will become a part of me in the end… but I will give you a second chance with some help."
"No." Wolf stuttered. "No! Please don't!" The hole in Wolf's stomach immediately flew back together. The energy spooked Lee Seng, forcing him backwards into a floating position as he watched Wolf beg for mercy. "Please, don't do this to me! I-I can still do it! Please have mercy! Ahhhhh!"
A dark, old energy completely engulfed Wolf. The Biohuman form quickly faded back to a pure black entity with a wolf's head. The hole that Lee Seng had just made was replaced with white matter. The scent it gave off was filled with acid and musty water.
"O, how it feels to actually be Above." A sultry voice spoke. Lee Seng narrowed his eyes as the black Wolf slowly settled his eyes onto Lee Seng. "To think someone as pitiful as him would really make a deal with what is unknown… Well, he couldn't have found you without my help."
The thing in front of him felt oddly familiar. It felt old. The nightmare flooded Lee Seng's senses and that's when he put two and two together…
'This thing in front of me…' Lee Seng hesitatingly gulped. 'It's the thing from my dreams.'
"I've found you after so many years… Now, before Mother knows what I've done, I'll get my revenge." The entity spoke. A cold blast flew straight through Lee Seng's body, creating a hole in his stomach. Lee Seng's eyes widened.
'How did he…' Lee Seng began to think when the entity reappeared in front of him with his claws wrapped around his throat. He lifted Lee Seng into the air, squeezing his neck. The black wolf grinned an unnatural grin.
"You don't remember me, but I remember you, Lee Seng Chang." The entity spoke. It ran chills down Lee Seng's back. "You were just a baby, then. To think Mother would fall into the gaze of the one who made us like this… And here we are now… Many years later and I got to Mother's favorite before she could."
"Get away from him!" Keng slashed the entity's arm off. The arm fizzled for a moment and its grip loosened on Lee Seng's throat. It quickly squeezed harder and Keng went flying straight into the side of the house.
"Is this a new toy, Little One? How many toys do you need to keep yourself entertained? You've had the privilege of dwelling amongst the Above and you act like you know nothing. Mother really did a good job in keeping that information from you." The entity sighed. He pulled Lee Seng towards him as blood spilled from his stomach. "No matter… You needn't know anything. After all, you were Above while I was Below."
The black Wolf entity's head split into tendrils. It wrapped itself around Lee Seng's neck as the husk of the dead Wolf began to rip apart into tendrils. It intertwined itself with Lee Seng, slipping some tendrils into the open stomach.
"Lee!" Keng skyrocketed forward, reaching out for Lee Seng. The tendrils flew outwards, pushing onto Keng and filling him with holes.
"No!" Lee Seng shouted. Something inside of him bubbled. Something Lee Seng had been holding back for as long as he could remember.
'Just let it out.' Lee Seng heard himself say. 'You aren't as weak as you were before… Just let it out and let it flow. I shall make sure you don't die until then.' Lee Seng's head was forced upwards by the tendrils. The tendrils began to sink into his nostrils, eyes, ears, and mouth. He began to choke. Tears streamed down his face.
'This is it.' Lee Seng thought. 'This is the end… I'm sorry everyone… I should've just ignored everything… I should've just listened to all of you. We could've built a new life together, but I was selfish. I wanted everything… I wanted answers and now…' Keng's body flashed in his head. He was full of holes and oozing blood. One by one he began to see his friends in real time.
Evan was fighting something dark. Ritsuka, Liz, and Manny were helping staff members out of the mansion while Olivia forced herself up.
'I'm sorry everyone.' Lee Seng thought. 'I really am.'
'Do you really think this is the end?' Another Lee Seng asked. A spark ignited. 'It is not the end for you. It's only the beginning.'
