Chapter 86: Theo Vs Shawn
The healing type ability users picked Rosa up and put him on a stretcher, then they picked up the stretcher and carried him away to the infirmary. All the while, he kept on moaning under the jeers, taunts, and laughter of many students.
He was feeling pained, not only physically but also mentally.
Pu!
He ended up puking out a mouthful of blood because of a mixture of head exploding anger, frustration, and pain. Right after, his eyes closed shut, signifying that he has fainted.
“What a loser,” Elliot said in a calm voice, and Rosa’s unconscious body violently twitched three times, almost as if he had heard his words, resulting in him twitching like a dead chicken being butchered.
Linda looked at all of that with a frown on her face, feeling annoyed because Rosa failed to defeat him and also caused her to be embarrassed. I should not have cheered for him before the fight. I made the greatest mistake of my life. The onlookers must be laughing at me in their minds, right? Damn, this is embarrassing!
She clenched her fist tightly out of frustration, and because of the strength used to do so, her nails dug into her skin, tearing apart a bit of her skin, causing her to feel brief moments of stinging pain.
“Elliot, I promise I will take my revenge by humiliating you in a fight!” Linda suddenly said out loud, but Elliot didn’t even bother looking at her.
He was acting almost as if he believed that she was not the eldest princess of the third strongest magician family but an insignificant ant, and that amused as well as appalled many onlookers.
Linda gritted her teeth and turned away from him.
Looking at her frustrated expression, Lisa felt glad and beamed towards Elliot. “You did great, master.”
Elliot turned to lovingly look at her in the eyes, then said in a calm voice, “Shouldn’t you reward me with something?”
Lisa leaned towards him, bringing her soft lips closer to his ears, and whispered, “It’s not easy to melt my heart. You need to win more matches to do so.”
“How many?” Elliot asked, wondering how many fights he needs to win before she lets him hug her petite body and explore her sweet mouth without hesitation.
“If you keep on winning until you win this tournament, I will let you squeeze my breasts and play with my lips,” Lisa said those naughty words as she playfully winked at him.
Elliot’s eyes lit up when he heard that he could play with her breasts as long as he wins this tournament. Her words not only piqued his curiosity as he has never touched or caught a glimpse of a woman’s breasts in real life but also came as a newfound motivation that gave him a reason to wreck his peers and seniors.
“As much as I like, alright?” Elliot licked his lips seductively while looking at her from head to her breasts.
Lisa blushed under his scorching gaze, turning red from ear to ear, and he also saw redness painting her squishable cheeks, which highlighted her freckles and made her look even more enticing in his eyes.
“Sure,” She said in a voice as low as a mice squeal, but Elliot managed to hear it.
His lips pursed back into a thin smile, and he teasingly said, “Look forward to it. When that time comes, I won’t let you budge even a single inch away from me.”
Lisa’s head lowered even further, as though she didn’t want to let him see her embarrassment, but Elliot lifted her face up by the chin to look at her reddened face without blinking, wanting to engrave it in his mind. Lisa also kept on looking at his face, thinking that he is too handsome for her and how she’s lucky to have him as her boyfriend.
They were looking at each other, completely oblivious of the looks of the onlookers that included the headmaster, many students, several instructors, and also referee Leonardo. The ones looking at them felt complicated emotions rising in their hearts. Some felt a bitter taste in their mouths, almost as if Elliot and Lisa had shoved vinegar down their throats; Some felt the need to get a girlfriend or a boyfriend; Some felt that these two folks have no shame as they were acting lovey-dovey in public; However, they felt that way only because they were eating dog food and were jealous of them.
“Such a shameless couple.” One of the instructors chided while looking at them.
“Haha! You’re saying that just because you’re jealous?” Another instructor near him retorted, burning him from ear to ear.
“What a passionate couple.” Headmaster Gerald said in a low voice, rubbing his beard.
Suddenly, a voice sounded in the ears of the lovebirds, snapping them back to reality.
“It’s good to express your love for each other, but you guys are doing it too excessively,” John said while looking at them.
Lisa and Elliot noticed that a lot of people were looking at them, and Lisa cleared her throat in a low voice before taking one step back from him, but he possessively wrapped his hands around her waist, then pulled her closer, burying her in his embrace as he didn’t want others to look at her mesmerizing face.
Lisa didn’t resist and simply stayed there, feeling his warmth in silence.
Theo looked away in silence, knowing full well that he can’t do that with his girlfriend as she was a worker while he, a student.
“Ahem! The next contestants, please come on stage,” Instructor Leonardo called out the numbers of two different tokens, and the ones carrying that token went up the stage to duke it out with each other.
Once Elliot looked at them with the intent to know about their strengths and weaknesses as they might end up as his opponent, he noted that one of them was in the magical realm, while the other was in the middle stages of the channel opening stage. The difference between them was like Heaven and Earth. Not only did the magician in the middle stages of the channel opening stage have more than 500 units of magic energy compared to his opponent, but his physical strength also surpassed his opponent by a few numbers in Elliot’s eyes.
The match ended within a minute as the magicians were of unequal strength. The defeated got severely injured, and the healers took him taken on a stretcher, healing him as they did so.
One by one, magicians in the magical realm lost their matches against magicians in the channel opening stage. To add insult to injury, they lost within a minute. The first-year students weren’t as strong as the second-year students, and they were also not Elliot’s equal, so they lost miserably. Only the fights between magicians in the same realm lasted for more than a minute. Even then, it didn’t take more than five minutes for such battles to end.
Within two hours, half out of more than two hundred participants got eliminated, leaving around a hundred.
“Number 57 and Number 1, please come on stage.” Instructor Leonardo announced.
The very next moment, Elliot glanced at Theo and wished him good luck, so did John and Lisa. Theo inclined his face towards them, gave them a curt nod before teleporting on top of the arena.
His opponent lazily walked up the arena, glancing at him funnily. Instructor Leonardo counted down to three and announced the start of the battle.
“Aren’t you the guy who was once the strongest magician in the magical realm?” Shawn said while looking at Theo.
“Yeah, so what?” Theo said while looking back at him with narrowed eyes.
“Nothing much. I am just a bit baffled to see you sticking close to the current strongest magician in the magical realm as though he is a dog and you, his tail.” Shawn said with a smile, taunting Theo for his choice and trying to sow discord between Theo and Elliot.
Theo shook his head, knowing full-well that the choice he made isn’t wrong as Elliot is bound to reach an unprecedented stage of glory in the future.
“Are you done? If so, come and get your ass handed over to you by me.” Theo said, sticking his middle finger at Shawn and moving it back and forth.
“You cocky bastard!” Shawn said through gritted teeth and twitching eyes, “Let me teach you how to respect your seniors.”
Whoosh!
Right after saying those words, Shawn activated his ability in full force, flame bursts from beneath his feet, propelling him forward, right towards Theo at an incredible speed. He moved so fast that the eyes of the onlookers below the channel opening stage didn’t manage to keep up with his figure. One could say that in their eyes, Shawn was just a blurry figure.
However, Theo managed to catch him clearly in his eyes, all because he had channeled magic energy into his magic matrix and activated perception before the battle. Right now, he could feel all the changes in his surroundings. The movement of the wind, the breathing of his opponent and the referee, the fluctuations of magic energy in the surrounding, and even the tiniest bit of movement of his opponent, nothing escaped his senses.
“Sword of Sun!”
Vroom!
Before Shawn even reached him, countless speckless of fiery light surged out of his palms, extending behind him for around ten meters, then condensing into the shape of an overgrown flame sword that turned up the heat in the surrounding.
Theo didn’t move, merely looking at him from behind the pair of black eyeglasses.
Slash!
An instant after creating his sword, Shawn covered the distance between him and Theo, and right at that very moment, he swung his flame sword at him.
The sword set the wind on fire, leaving behind a trail of blaze as it moved towards Theo, intending to kill him.
