"See it for yourself."
With a flick of his wrist, Theo tossed the scroll towards Elliot at a very high speed. A gust of wind blasted towards him, and John could determine that it was powerful enough to break the bones of low-level magicians.
It was Theo's way of testing Elliot's strength.
Elliot was not startled at all.
Golden energy radiated out of his entire being, immediately capturing the scroll and nullifying the gust of wind.
Then, he raised his hand and grabbed it.
Everything happened too suddenly, but Elliot responded to it exceptionally and with unseen grace.
John turned towards Theo with wide eyes, wondering how much strength he had used to throw the scroll at Elliot.
Feeling his gaze on him, Theo looked towards him. There was a smile on his face, and he raised his hand to show three fingers to John. It meant that he had used 30% of his physical power in the last exchange. 1-3rd of his strength, yet Elliot managed to fight back so effortlessly.
Both of them thought that Elliot had grown too strong, that even the last seven years spent wasn't enough to make them strong enough to enter his shadow.
Lucy wondered what that was for, but she didn't dare raise her concern. Not only was she not familiar with them, but they were also Elliot's friends. Since Elliot wasn't angry at Theo's prank, there was no need for her to open her mouth. She was intelligent enough to determine that this wasn't her place to speak.
Meanwhile, the spirit beasts thought that they were playing around.
Lastly, Elliot didn't say a word as he already knew the meaning behind Theo's actions.
He merely adjusted the scroll and started reading the content.
"Oh."
Something caught his attention.
"What does it say?"
Lucy wondered what it was.
"It says that we can go and pay a visit to the queen on the seventh day of this month."
A new month had just started. That means there were still seven days before they could meet the queen.
"Until then, I can show you guys around," Theo said.
Elliot looked towards him and said, "We will be in your care."
The residential area was pretty big. It had many houses that came with small farms, many shops, several training facilities, attractions, gardens, mazes, parks, and even a circus.
While walking on the streets, many three-wheel robots with pyramid-shaped bodies went past them.
They were responsible for keeping the place clean, growing magical vegetables, and nurturing the spirit fruit trees. Occasionally, John would intentionally throw some trash in the ground, and these things would come to pick them up and throw them inside their body. He had become a lot naughtier than before, somewhat evil.
Theo started the tour of this place by helping them register for a house. It was pretty cheap to own a home in this place, only a spirit point for a month.
"How about I pay for you all?"
"No need to buy one for us, master."
"We will be living under the same roof."
"Won't you guys be uncomfortable?"
"Not really."
"Well then, fine."
Elliot had a lot, so he didn't mind paying for everyone. The two beasts refused as they were going to live with him.
Elliot moved forward to purchase two houses for the remaining three years. He had so many spirit points that he didn't care about using less than a hundred for himself and Lucy.
"You don't need to pay for mine, too."
Lucy stopped him from owing her another favor. Lucy had several hundred spirit points in her hand, and although she had less than Elliot, she could still afford a house for herself.
"Hmm, why?" Elliot asked purposely.
Lucy replied, "I will pay for mine."
"It would be a waste."
Elliot wasn't willing to let her waste what little amount of spirit points she possessed.
John saw what was happening and decided to give his long-time friend a helping hand.
"Bro, are you trying to propose something?"
Lucy looked towards Elliot, wondering what he wanted to actually say to her. Elliot directly told her to live with them. He told her that the house he purchased had five rooms, and she could occupy one of them for free. And if she wasn't fine with that, then she could pay him a spirit point every year. Elliot didn't realize that his words caused her heart to beat frantically. She felt as if she was a married woman who was getting taken to her new home. In her confusion, she nodded her head. Elliot took it as an agreement, and that's how Lucy started living with him and his pets.
"It's already dark, and since you guys have been fighting for your life for the past seven days, it would be wise to rest for the night. I will show you guys the rest of the places tomorrow."
They had explored many places. The only places left were the shop and the training facilities. Elliot, Lucy, and the two overly excited beasts had enough patience to wait for a night, so they agreed to head home.
"Why don't we go and take a dip in the hot spring?" John proposed with a smile.
"This place has one?" Elliot was pretty clean, but dirt, blood, and sweat covered Lucy. Although she wasn't too smelly, a not-so-graceful odor was still coming out of her. The others didn't mind. Though, she did. She was a girl, and smelling bad was a big no for her. So, she really wanted to take a hot bath to relax and clean herself.
"Yes, and it's really close."
John told them where they could find the hot spring. After he finished saying that, Theo grabbed him and activated his teleportation ability to leave Lucy and Elliot alone.
"Where are you going?"
Elliot wasn't able to understand why Theo was going away and forcefully taking John with him.
