Chapter 81: Swept Clean

Wang Gang knew how important water was and he continued to move out the boxes.

Then, Li Ran would arrange them neatly together.

There was also some food. Wang Gang found three boxes of instant noodles, some canned food, and a box of snacks.

Wang Gang was full of energy. Even though it was hard labor, he did not show any signs of tiredness.

On the other hand, Li Ran was exhausted.

“Brother Wang, let’s put some of these things into my car first. I don’t think it’s possible to fit everything. If there’s no other choice, we can lock the door again and come back once we find a place to settle down.”

This was indeed a problem!

Wang Gang froze. He looked at the box in his hand and was reluctant to put it back.

“They’ll fit. The car can definitely handle it. All that’s left are some snacks. There’s some meat but they’re spoiled. Sigh, what a pity. Oh right, there’s also some oily noodles and rice seasonings. I took some of those too.”

Li Ran nodded. She wanted to put the supplies into the mysterious space. Since there were so many things, even if they had a cart, it would still be troublesome. The thought really distressed her.

However, for Wang Gang and Yang Shao, this was no trouble at all!

Yang Shao found a cart that was quite big. He placed the boxes in and four managed to fit. The liquids were placed at the bottom while the instant noodles were stacked on top.

The pile was about six feet tall. Li Ran tiptoed to hold the lighter objects. She was afraid that they would fall off. After she arranged them properly, she tried to push the cart. Unfortunately, the cart would not budge.

Wang Gang and Yang Shao helped to push the cart forward very slowly.

Li Ran did not know whether to laugh or cry when she saw their speed. It was really difficult to move the supplies. She asked Yang Shao, “Is there no way we can lock the door again?”

“No. I don’t think so.”

“What a pity. We can only take this much.”

There was no way to lock the door from the outside unless they had the key.

Wang Gang waved his hand and said with an open mind, “Forget it. Someone else can have the leftovers. Think of it as doing a good deed. Now, let’s go!”

“I’ll go and look for the key anyway. If I really can’t find it, then I’ll leave,” said Li Ran with a smile.

“Alright. Then we’ll be going first.”

Yang Shao pushed the cart forward with all his strength. Luckily, the cart was still able to withstand the weight. Then, he said, “There’s not a single zombie in here. It’s weird.”

Upon hearing that, Wang Gang looked around and replied, “Maybe they were all already taken care of.”

“But we encountered a lot of zombies on our way here. Wouldn’t some of them wander in here?”

Wang Gang shook his head and said nonchalantly, “Don’t know, don’t care.”

“Tsk.”

Yang Shao curled his lips. He was speechless. They continued to push the cart.

The musty smell in the room was almost gone. It was not as pungent as when they first entered. Li Ran tried to endure it. She quickly walked around the room to see what was left inside.

There were still two boxes of various oils such as peanut oil, sunflower seed oil, and olive oil!

Additionally, there were also some rice noodles. She did not expect there to be so many things. Without further hesitation, she put everything that was not rotten into the mysterious space.

Li Ran even took some bowls and chopsticks. Anything that seemed even remotely useful was snagged by her! There was no harm in taking them anyway.

All the hard work took a toll on Li Ran. Her forehead was covered in sweat. When she exited the room, Wang Gang and Yang Shao were already some distance away. She quickly rushed towards them.

Yang Shao turned around and saw Li Ran. He told Wang Gang to wait for her. The there of them grouped up and continued to walk together.
