"What? I was supposed to make them my Summon? Why didn't you tell me?" Ban protested as he turned around and ran.
The Beast's eyes all turned red at the same time as they stared at Ban as if he was the most expensive and most delicious food in the world.
[You are the Almighty Summoner Host, not a tourist in a zoo. What will you do when you spot many 'tamed' monsters? Of course, you try and make them your Summon.]
Ban could only shake his head while reading what the System had said. He could not deny it as he realized that it was really the truth.
Fortunately, Ban did not stop moving earlier, making him arrive at this place where only normal-sized beasts could be seen. Of course, by normal, what Ban actually meant was those beasts that are of the same height as him and those beasts that are as big as a carriage
It looks like he still got some luck for not staying on that place earlier that was full of mountain-like beasts.
Anyways, he still did not dare face the beasts head-on. He wasn't arrogant enough to face them.
He looked over his status screen again and he couldn't help but just smile wryly after seeing his few skills.
'It looks like I will only be able to use Snake Rush this time…' he thought as he surveyed his surroundings.
He does not plan on fighting any of the beasts that were pursuing him. He plans on surviving the remaining hours just by running away.
Fortunately, the beasts who were pursuing him were not that fast. There were four of them and each of them was as big as a carriage. Each of them are different from the rest and the only similarities they have was their red and threatening eyes. Their eyes almost looked like someone pressed the button to make them all angry at the same time.
Ban kept his eyes ahead, avoiding any location that also had beasts in it. The four behind him were already enough for him to feel threatened, how much more if some joined along the way.
Swoosh!
The Monitor Lizard as big as a carriage swiped its sharp claws towards Ban the moment it caught up behind him.
Snake Rush!
Ban felt the danger and he no did not waste any time as he immediately used the new Skill, Snake Rush.
His body instantly speeds up after using the Skill. He could only see his surroundings getting blurry and the next instant, the Skill was already activated. His body dashed in zigzag motion, completely avoiding the sharp claws of the monitor lizard, while leaving them behind in trail a few meters.
'Almost…' Ban commented as he recalled the feeling he experienced earlier. His body went cold and he felt that if he was delayed any second from activating the Skill, his body would probably be torn apart if struck by that claw.
The moment the Skill's duration ended, his speed returned to normal and the four beasts behind him were now hot in pursuit again.
'This won't do, I need to search for a location to lose them…' Ban said as he looked around searching for a suitable location that could help him.
His eyes lit up a moment later, after seeing a rocky mountain in the distance. He did not waste any more time as he shifted the direction he was running towards the mountain's direction.
However, it was at that moment that Ban saw a silhouette at the corner of his eyes getting closer to him in an instant.
It was an Ant beast that was only smaller than a carriage by a small margin. It was charging towards him as if he was a sweet candy.
Ban knew that he wouldn't be able to dodge it in time. He gritted his teeth as he activated the Skill, Reinforce and used one stack of it for himself.
Boom!
His body was immediately thrown away like a broken kite the moment the Ant's hard head struck him. Ban felt as though a fast moving carriage hit his body. He almost blacked out due to the impact but fortunately, the Reinforce Skill somehow managed to save him from dying immediately.
He landed a tens of meters away and fortunately, Ban was able to shift his body midair to land with both of his feet in the ground.
Fortunately, he was able to activate the Reinforce Skill in time or else, he didn't know if he would still be alive before landing on the ground.
Ban did not waste his time thinking, as the other four, with the addition of the Ant dashed towards him again, not letting him take a rest.
Snake Rush!
His vision blurred and his body zigzagged away from them in an instant, escaping a few meters ahead of them.
Silk Spit!
The Spider beast finally decided to attack as it uses its mouth to shoot out a sticky Silk towards Ban.
Ban did not dare to try and touch as he knew how dangerous it was just from the vibes it was emitting. He sidestepped to avoid it completely as well the next attacks that came from the other beasts that were pursuing him.
A few moments later, Ban finally arrived at the foot of the rocky mountain. He did not even hesitate for a second as he started ascending without warning.
He thought that the place was an ideal place for him to lose and even fight them if necessary. There were a lot of huge boulders around that he could use to hide from them.
Fortunately, he was able to recover most of his stamina earlier when he was just strolling around or else he would surely be panting heavily by now.
Even still, he still started feeling the fatigue already as he climbed the rocky mountain in difficulty.
Not only him, even the five beasts that were pursuing him had also considerably slowed down due to the rocky terrain.
Ban climbed atop a huge boulder and looked behind him. It looks like he had already lost three of them as only the Ant and the Spider were the only beast that he could see right now.
He heaves a sigh of relief as he could finally take a rest even for just a few seconds.
He looked around and immediately formulated a plan that might be able to kill at least one of the beasts that were pursuing him.
There were a lot of huge boulders around him, a weapon that he could use to attack them.
He rested for a bit and no longer wasted any more time as he searched for a suitable boulder that was big and heavy enough to injure them.
Fortunately, Ban was blessed with unusual strength. He did not have any problem searching for a suitable boulder and the only thing that was left was to execute his plan.
At a high point in the mountain, Ban gathered a few boulders the same or even bigger size than the normal carriages that could be seen in the city.
If he was only a mere mortal, Ban would surely not be able to lift boulders this heavy and big even with his unusual strength. Fortunately, he was now an F-Apprentice Rank and was now even approaching the E-Elite Rank closely.
Lifting those kinds of boulders was still hard even for the current him, but he still managed to do it regardless.
The red eyed beasts were now just a few meters below him. It seems that they have already noticed him atop that hill as they were now moving towards his direction with great speed.
However, unlike before, Ban no longer had any intention of fleeing, at least not for now. He wanted to try his luck and see if he could kill and remove one of them at least.
"Come here!" Ban shouted at the top of his lungs to garner their attention.
As if his provocations worked, the beast roared and shrieked in anger as they hastened their climb to get closer to him.
Ban smiled at that as he took note of their location. He then retreated a few steps and faced the boulder that was even taller than him. He then hugged the boulder and started lifting it up a moment later.
The boulder was slowly lifted from the ground with Ban's muscles bulging out of his shirt. Small but thick veins started popping out of his arms as he turned and faced the direction of the beasts that he provoked earlier.
He lowered his body and moved the boulder at the top of his shoulder, now carrying it over his shoulder.
He then slowly walked towards the cliff and step by step, he finally arrived near it.
He looked down and it seemed that there was now only nine meters left before they could climb the hill that he was on.
Ban no longer wasted any time. His arms bulged like a balloon as he forcefully threw the huge boulder towards the Ant that was the first to climb compared to the others.
Swoosh!
The boulder traveled in extreme speed with the combination of Ban's strength and the boulder's weight along with the gravity.
It did not take long for the huge boulder to arrive in front of the Ant, taking it by surprise.
The ant's eyes widened in surprise seeing the shadow that was now above its head.
Boom!
