The tower of ice encasing both Tato and Jett finally shattered and broke as the latter dropped to the ground.

Tato managed to catch himself on his feet, taking a few deep breaths, his long spiky black hair dripping as it lost its grandeur and form.

"You twerp…"

As Tato looked up, glaring at the coughing Jett who struggled to make his way to his feet.

But before he could move, Lucy appeared before Jett, guarding him with her sword drawn.

[Metamorphosis]

"Ren!" 

-BOOM

Tato darted his eyes to his side as he sensed a sudden, violent, and powerful surge of power that made the pebbles on the ground shake and send out shockwaves.

He witnessed Amara, claws sticking out of her fingers, as well as her eyes yellow with feline-like slits, all while her white tail danced in the air, shooting toward him at terrifying speeds with a BANG.

However, it was a speed that he merely scoffed at as he outreached his hand, a yellow energy appearing before his palm.

But before he could shoot…

-SHKHR

Amara's body seemingly morphed into a form that should have been impossible for a regular human.

Thin as a rope, her tight body coiled around Tato's arm, slithering up his body like a snake as he widened his eyes, flinging his arm around in an attempt to get her off him.

But to no avail she crawled up his neck like some sort of parasitic symbiote, reaching his face as she separated into smaller strings, forcing her way up his nose and mouth.

"Sto…KRHM" 

Tato lost the ability to speak as parts of Amara poked out from under his eyeballs, entering through every one of his orifices.

The others watched this with a slightly apprehensive look in their eye. The scene was nothing short of a horror scene and nothing like what they were expecting from Amara.

But they somewhat understood. This was simply the lengths she was willing to go for Ava.

-SHUU

However, just as it seemed as though the battle was over, a small yellow ball appeared before Tato's face.

As it did, he struggled to widen his mouth as the yellow ball of energy slowly lowered inside.

Cain widened his eyes as he saw this, kicking off the ground.

But he could tell he was too late.

"Amara!" 

-BMMMMM

A muffled BOOM could be heard as gunk oozed out from Tato's mouth as if he were hurling his very lungs.

As the gunk landed on the ground, it quickly took form, returning its original form as Amara as she lay barely conscious.

"Ugh, well that was disgusting. Die." 

Tato wiped his mouth as he raised his leg, still disoriented from the torture he'd just endured.

-BANG

Cain winced as his foot and knee dug into the ground, his forearms throbbing after blocking the power stomp of Tato.

And despite the emotions one would assume he might be feeling, like rage at Amara being hurt or guilt for letting it happen, instead, he smiled.

'This is the first time…I've been physically challenged.' 

Though his martial arts was lacking, he hadn't met anyone who could match him in terms of physicality.

-BANG

Cain shot up from the ground like a bullet, his head smashing into Tato's chin as the Priest's head swung backwards.

Cain didn't last a second on the ground as he touched back, shooting up again as he drove his knee into Tato's face with a BANG, causing the Priest to be flung backwards.

Despite this devastating attack, Tato was able to flip back and land on his feet, his face darkened.

"What the hell are you smiling at?" Tato mumbled, seeing Cain's grin, raising his head as his eyes could be seen glued on Cain, but one of his limbs specifically.

"You think that means anything? Do you think you're gifted or something? Let me tell you something, the only thing that matters is your will. That's all I need." 

Tato fell into a rant as Cain followed his line of sight, noticing he was staring at his tail.

It was then that a realisation dawned on Cain as he widened his eyes while looking back.

"You…aren't a Saiyan." 

Jett, Eli and Lucy all showed similar reactions to Cain as he revealed this, looking back to Tato who could be seen grinding his teeth.

"Just because I was given a low Completion Rank for my first scenario…my rewards suffered. I could never gain back what I'd lost." 

Tato dug out the ground with his fingers as his body language expressed his intense frustration.

"Go ahead, laugh! An S-Rank Character but squandered by my inadequacies! It's funny right?!" Tato yelled with a forced smile, Cain showing no reaction.

"But I don't need it! Look at me now, stronger and better than a Saiyan! And after I've beaten you to death, I'll torture that little bit his ten times worse than whatever voodoo she played on me…" 

-BOOM

A white aura exploded from Cain as his eyes intensified, his rage at those words evident in his tightened grip fists.

However, in the next second, he breathed out as he relaxed his muscles, his Aura lessening as he closed his eyes.

"You'll regret that," Cain mumbled.

A vein bulged on Tato's forehead as he grumbled, looking as if he was about to explode in the next second, he leapt from his position, shooting toward Cain like a bullet.

"Cain!" Lucy yelled in an attempt to warn him.

"Get out of the way, man!" Jett added, struggling his way to his feet as he prepared to soar toward them.

However…

Everyone watching held their breath as they watched Cain seemingly teleport behind the launching Tato.

-BANG

It was as if time had come to a stop, everyone catching the second before dents in Tato's body formed, his body being rag-dolled in every angle possible, all while he never moved from where he stood.

Tato's eyes rolled back as coughed a river of blood.

"B-Bastard!" 

Tato barely yelled out, swinging his head back, only to witness he was face to face with Cain, causing him to freeze as he looked into his eyes.

Everyone else witnessed this, too, as they all stared.

Cain's silver eyes, the ethereal glow that emanated from and the calm manner in which he glared straight into Tato's soul.

It was as if they were witnessing the birth of…a deity.

-BOOM

A sonic BOOM rang out as Cain twisted his body, landing a devastating punch into Tato's gut.

Tato gushed out a river of blood as his body coiled around the fist.

Cain followed through with the punch as Tato was sent shooting into the sky, his blood raining down onto the others.

Despite this achievement, Cain refused to relax as he bent his legs, tensing and tightening his muscles as his Aura suddenly began to rise at a terrifying rate, so much so that his allies decided to take a step back.

The power was so great it had caused Amara to wake as she quickly widened her eyes and sat up at the spectacle.

"Ka-...KAIOKEEEN!" 

Cain yelled as his Aura morphed into a crimson red, his raw power suffocating anything around him and tearing through the ground.

'All along…this was his true power.'

Jett watched with a gaping mouth, remembering how easy he had it in his fight against him.

"KA…"

Cain opened his two palms and curled his fingers as the two ends of his hands met.

"ME…" 

"The true power of a Saiyan…" 

Lucy began to speak as she wore a difficult expression, her usual indifferent demeanour faltering.

"HA…"

"It isn't the power they're born with…" 

"ME…" 

Cain held his two hands to his side as blue energy suddenly birthed in between his two hands.

Tato struggled to get his body under control as he flailed around in the sky.

"...no, but rather their potential. A potential fueled and strengthened by their pure, raw and barbaric emotions. Their rage." 

The blue beam grew larger as the energy seeped through the gaps of Cain's fingers, his expression scrunched as he poured every last bit of Ki into it.

"That is what it means to be Saiyan." 

"HA!!!!" 

-BOOM

Cain shot out his arms as the blue beam exploded like a cannon, its power pushing Cain back so far that his ankles were buried in the ground.

The beam rocketed toward Tato who'd just gotten his bearings, his eyes carrying an emotion he never thought he was capable of expressing.

Fear.

The light shined upon the forest…no, all of Ashton as civilians looked up, wondering when the sun had risen.

Only to be met with the clouds parted as if the heavens itself were scurrying.

The next sight the Golden Six witnessed was the beam enveloping Tato as he disappeared within its sheer size.

-VUAM

The beam slowly shrunk, soon disappearing as the Ashton returned to its usual midnight darkness.

Cain's eyes returned to normal as the redness in his Aura disappeared.

[Instinct: Deactivated. You will suffer the side effects]

[Kaioken: Deactivated. You will suffer the side effects]

As it did, he wobbled, dropping to his knees as he breathed heavily.

He gripped his heart, seconds away from falling unconscious as he struggled to catch his breath, his eyes closed due to the unbearable pain he felt inside.

'A-Are these the monsters Aurelius breeds…'

Eli thought, speechless as he stared with wide eyes from beside the fallen Daniel.

"Cain!" 

Jett was the first to snap out of his trance as he stepped toward Cain with a worried expression.

-SHING

However, everyone present could be seen revealing a horrified expression as they all looked in the same direction, witnessing the spiky black-haired man, his two forefingers pressed against his forehead with blood dripping from the corner of his lips.

'How…'

"DIE!" 

Tato formed a fist with one hand, putting his palm over it as he pulled back, purple energy forming as he powered his Ki to dangerously high levels.

"Gallic Gun!" 

Jett wore a desperate expression his gloves bursting with flames as he shot toward Cain in an attempt to save him, but he was moving too slow.

"Cain!" 

Amara yelled, Eli behind her as he seemed as if he was contemplating something important.

Despite Jett's speed…he was too slow.

The purple beam, though not as strong as Cain's previous attack, tore through the air as the leaves and plant life rustled uncontrollably as if they were in the middle of a storm.

Cain watched as this beam drew closer, his hair filtering backwards as he widened his eyes.

He tried to move but his body was too weak as he constantly dropped and stumbled, ultimately trying to even crawl, but to no avail.

"Crap…" 

He mumbled with a chuckle, his eyes first looking to Jett who soared toward him, desperately reaching out.

Then it turned to Amara, seeing the glint in her eye as a tear formed.

And though Daniel was unconscious and Eli wore a difficult expression, he was able to catch a glance of Lucy.

Unlike the others, she seemed unbuffered, taking in a deep breath as she whispered something.

Looking back, the beam inches away from him, he smiled.

-BOOM

The beam swallowed Cain whole as it continued ravaging through the forest as it went, soon coming to a stop and leaving destruction in its wake.

"W-What…" 

Tato muttered, the smirk quickly disappearing from his face as he witnessed the student he attacked, one knee on the ground as he crossed his arms in an X shape in an attempt to block.

But the fact that Cain was still alive, let alone still up and conscious, wasn't what surprised everyone.

No, instead it was the fact that he didn't have a single scratch on him.

It was as though the attack didn't touch him.

"Cain?" 

Amara muttered as the boy looked around his body, he too confused.

-COUGH

As silence prevailed, a single cough, followed by choking of blood, drew everyone's attention as Lucy could be seen dropping to her knees, parts of her body burnt as all of it was completely damaged.

She hurled a river of blood as she looked up, her eyes still somehow cold yet frightening as she glared.

"Lucy!"
