A Female Forensic Doctor Transmigrates into a Book as the Female Supporting Character
Chapter 149 - 149 Painting149 Painting
“This child is a little shy with strangers, and…” The female teacher looked hesitant, as if she was conflicted about whether to continue.
“It’s fine. I like this child very much. Feel free to speak your mind.” Yin Tao stood up and approached the female teacher.
Shanshan didn’t seem to notice Yin Tao and the teacher at all. She was still looking down at the sketchbook in her hand.
The female teacher glanced at Shanshan and walked closer to Yin Tao. She lowered her voice and said, “Although this child looks introverted and doesn’t talk much, she can get very agitated sometimes. She can even say some strange things. All of our teachers don’t understand what she means. Even the doctors can’t tell what’s wrong with this child.”
The teacher’s words piqued Yin Tao’s curiosity. Shanshan didn’t look like she had any intellectual problems, so there must be a reason for her abnormal behavior.
“Let me try.” After Yin Tao finished speaking with the female teacher, she walked towards Shanshan and half-squatted beside her. She asked gently, “Shanshan, can you show me your drawings?”
Shanshan remained silent the entire time. When she heard Yin Tao’s request, she handed the sketchbook to her.
Yin Tao gently flipped open the sketchbook. There were some colorful pictures and characters inside. The colors were very bold and the drawings were very vivid.
Yin Tao could even tell that Shanshan’s drawings were of her classmates and teachers. They all had their own characteristics, and it was obvious that Shanshan was talented in drawing.
However, Yin Tao felt that Shanshan didn’t seem to have much patience when drawing these pictures. Clearly she could have done better, but she seemed to have done these drawings reluctantly.
“Well done! Are these what Shanshan drew in art class?” Yin Tao seemed to be asking Shanshan, but the one who answered was a young female teacher standing by the side.
“Yes, these are all drawn by Shanshan in art class. Perhaps because she’s quieter, she draws better than the other children.”
The female teacher praised Shanshan generously in front of Yin Tao. This was because Shanshan was the most uncommunicative child in the Children’s Home. Although she was very adorable, her cold and aloof personality didn’t endear her to people. The female teacher hoped that Yin Tao would take a liking to Shanshan and visit her more often in future.
Shanshan, who had her head lowered, glanced at Lin Jia, who was still playing with the other children. She turned her head and gently tugged Yin Tao’s arm. She got up from her chair, wanting to leave the classroom with Yin Tao.
“You want to show me your other works?”
Shanshan nodded and pointed towards the door.
Yin Tao and the female teacher exchanged glances, indicating for her not to worry, before leading Shanshan out of the classroom.
The female teacher sighed deeply and looked outside the door worriedly. She was worried that Shanshan would do something strange and make Yin Tao dislike her.
After all, many people who came to show their love in the past had reflected that there seemed to be something wrong with Shanshan. She always seemed to like strange things.
After some consideration, the three female teachers decided to follow behind and take a look. It wouldn’t be good if Yin Tao couldn’t deal with Shanshan.
Just as she was about to leave, the female teacher was stopped by Lin Jia. “Teacher, my friend should be able to get along well with Shanshan. She works at the police station. You can rest assured about Shanshan’s safety.”
When the female teacher heard Lin Jia’s words, she turned around and walked back. She didn’t expect the girl who looked like a student to be a police officer. The female teacher was full of admiration for Yin Tao and she slowly felt more relaxed.
Because Shanshan seemed to have a good impression of the police, when they were playing a mini-profession simulation game, Shanshan had shown her reliance and love for the police.
Moreover, Lin Jia was well known as a kind person in the Children’s Home. His friends can’t be bad either.
Shanshan led Yin Tao all the way to the last room along the corridor.
“Is this where you live?” Yin Tao looked at the small beds in the room and felt that this should be the dormitory of the Children’s Home.
Shanshan nodded and quickly ran to a small bed by the window at the innermost corner. From under the pillow, Shanshan took out a small notebook that was a little wrinkled.
Yin Tao watched as Shanshan handed the notebook to her and slowly flipped open the slightly tattered cover. This notebook seemed to have been used for a long time.
“This is…” Yin Tao choked on her words. The notebook was filled with Shanshan’s drawings, but they were very different from the drawings in the classroom. The drawings in this sketchbook were all black and white.
Perhaps Shanshan did these drawings in the dormitory, where she only had simpler materials, or perhaps colours weren’t necessary for these drawings at all.
